First, we need to know how we see colours.

You see things because light bounces off them into your eyes

and your brain tells you what they are.

Now, light is actually made up of all the colours of the rainbow.

So, what colour something is depends on which part of the light

bounces off it into your eyes and brain.

So I look blue because...

The part of light that

bounces off your messy fur looks blue.

So the vacubots are changing the way light bounces off things

so we don't see the usual colours.

If you need light to see colours, what happens in the dark?

Well, if there isn't enough light, you won't look blue.

See? Try it next time it gets dark.
