Hello, Scrappz! It's great to see you, my friend.

0:01:490:01:53

-Now, what shall we make our party about today?

-Hmm.

0:01:530:01:57

You have a think about it. Have you got any ideas?

0:01:570:02:01

Over you come, Mini Makers. Come on, my friends. That's it.

0:02:010:02:05

Now, have a look at the screen. We're going to show you some clues.

0:02:050:02:09

See if you can guess what our party is going to be about today?

0:02:090:02:13

-What can you see? MINI MAKERS:

-An apple!

0:02:130:02:16

Sandwich!

0:02:180:02:20

Roast dinner!

0:02:210:02:23

Ice cream!

0:02:250:02:27

And I'll give you one last clue, Mini Makers. What is it?

0:02:270:02:32

-MINI MAKERS:

-Banana!

0:02:320:02:34

That's right, my friends. It's a banana.

0:02:340:02:37

-So, what's our party going to be about today?

-Food!

-That's it.

0:02:370:02:41

We're going to have a fantastic food party today.

0:02:410:02:45

THEY CHEER

0:02:450:02:47

Careful, Scrappz!

0:02:470:02:49

It looks like you've got too much on your plate.

0:02:490:02:52

Don't worry about those grapes. I'll get those for you.

0:02:520:02:56

And you get a bonus banana!

0:02:560:02:59

THEY CHEER

0:02:590:03:01

So, let's think up tasty ideas for an arty party picture.

0:03:010:03:06

-What shall we use today?

-Glue sticks.

-Stickers.

-Card.

0:03:060:03:11

-What else can we use?

-Tissue paper.

0:03:110:03:13

-Are we going to use lots of dull colours? ALL:

-No!

0:03:130:03:17

-What are we going to use?

-Bright colours!

0:03:170:03:21

Well done, Mini Makers. Some fantastic ideas there.

0:03:210:03:24

In fact, it's just given me a brilliant idea.

0:03:240:03:28

Let's get arty at our party.

0:03:300:03:33

Make your own yummy paper sandwich,

0:03:330:03:36

packed with all your favourite fillings.

0:03:360:03:39

First, we'll need some things from...

0:03:390:03:41

-The Doodle Tube!

-That's right!

0:03:410:03:45

We'll need some coloured paper, tissue paper and card...

0:03:490:03:54

A witch's hat?

0:03:560:03:59

Nice try, Doodle Tube, but today we're making a sandwich!

0:03:590:04:04

And we'll need some glue and some stickers.

0:04:080:04:12

OK, Mini Makers. Let's get started.

0:04:120:04:16

First up we're going to get some background paper or card.

0:04:160:04:19

You can use any colour you like

0:04:190:04:22

but I think bright yellow will look great.

0:04:220:04:25

Now let's start to make our sandwich.

0:04:250:04:27

I'm going to use this brown paper here

0:04:270:04:31

and I'm going to tear it into the shape of a sandwich bun.

0:04:310:04:36

There. It's a very nice sandwich bun.

0:04:430:04:45

Let's stick it down.

0:04:450:04:47

And now we can fill our sandwich with lots of tasty ingredients.

0:04:540:04:58

Today I'm going to fill my sandwich full of tomato, lettuce and ham.

0:04:580:05:03

Let's start with the lettuce.

0:05:030:05:05

We can use this nice green tissue paper for that.

0:05:050:05:08

Tear a nice long strip.

0:05:080:05:12

And to make the tissue paper look even more like lettuce,

0:05:140:05:18

make the ends all jaggedy and scrunch it up a bit.

0:05:180:05:22

Let's stick it down. And I'm going to scrunch as I do that.

0:05:220:05:27

Now I'm going to use a darker green this time.

0:05:270:05:30

Now, you don't have to be neat.

0:05:300:05:33

Just make sure you scrunch up the lettuce.

0:05:330:05:37

We've got lots of lovely lettuce. What shall we put on next? Alfie?

0:05:370:05:41

-Ham.

-Ham. All right, then, my friend. Let's put some ham.

0:05:410:05:45

I'm going to put some glue on first.

0:05:450:05:48

And then stick on a nice piece of tasty ham.

0:05:480:05:53

It's not real ham. It's just torn-out pieces of pink paper.

0:05:530:06:00

-What shall we put on next?

-Tomatoes.

-Good idea, Megan.

0:06:000:06:03

And we can use some red torn paper for that.

0:06:030:06:07

Add as many tomatoes and you want.

0:06:080:06:11

Then you can stick down some more lettuce.

0:06:110:06:16

And then, of course, we need a sandwich bun to go on top.

0:06:160:06:21

Tyler, can you help me out? Perfect, my friend. Thank you very much.

0:06:210:06:25

Let's put on some glue. And top off our tasty sandwich.

0:06:250:06:32

Oh, yes. That is looking very nice indeed.

0:06:320:06:37

And now to add a finishing touch to our sandwich, we add some stickers.

0:06:370:06:43

Jess, can you help me out?

0:06:430:06:45

You can put as many stickers as you like on your picture, my friends.

0:06:450:06:51

One last sticker to finish off our tasty sandwich.

0:06:510:06:55

-Do you like the look of it, Mini Makers?

-Yeah!

0:06:550:06:58

I'm glad you like it.

0:06:580:07:00

Because now you're going to make your very own arty party picture.

0:07:000:07:04

-But first, you need to put on your...

-Arty aprons!

0:07:040:07:10

Yeah!

0:07:100:07:12

-It's time to... ALL:

-Start the art!

0:07:120:07:16

Alfie has made a very tasty-looking sandwich.

0:07:360:07:39

What do you call it, Alfie?

0:07:390:07:41

The double chocolate spread super sandwich.

0:07:410:07:45

The double chocolate spread super sandwich!

0:07:450:07:49

-And what's in the middle here?

-Sweets.

-Lots of sweets.

0:07:490:07:54

-And what are you using to make the sweets?

-Stickers.

-Stickers.

0:07:540:07:57

They look great. Keep sticking, Alfie. That looks very tasty indeed.

0:07:570:08:02

I wonder, has anyone else ever had any arty food ideas? Let's find out.

0:08:020:08:09

Hundreds of years ago, a well-known painter

0:08:090:08:12

called Giuseppe Arcimboldo lived in Italy.

0:08:120:08:15

He had a brilliant sense of humour

0:08:150:08:18

and loved painting pictures that made people laugh.

0:08:180:08:22

Ahem! For my next trick, I'll turn this ear into an ear!

0:08:220:08:27

An ear of corn! BADUM-TISH

0:08:280:08:31

Over the years, Arcimboldo became known for painting portraits

0:08:350:08:39

made up of lots of weird and wonderful things

0:08:390:08:42

like vegetables, fish, meat and fruit.

0:08:420:08:46

His portraits featured cherries as lips and grapes as hair.

0:08:460:08:51

These unusual paintings became famous all over the world

0:08:510:08:56

and his pictures almost look good enough to eat.

0:08:560:09:00

CRUNCH Mm! Tasty!

0:09:000:09:03

You could say people had a real appetite for his work!

0:09:070:09:12

Now let's see how the Mini Makers are getting on.

0:09:130:09:18

Leona, this looks like a very nice ice cream.

0:09:250:09:28

-What flavours have we got here?

-Vanilla, mint and chocolate.

0:09:280:09:32

I'm feeling hungry already!

0:09:320:09:35

There's lots to enjoy on Brandon's picture here.

0:09:370:09:41

-What's in the middle?

-Lemon ice cream.

-Lemon ice cream.

0:09:410:09:44

One of my favourite flavours. But I don't know what this is.

0:09:440:09:48

-A mocha.

-A mocha? What's a mocha?

-It's a hot drink.

0:09:480:09:53

Oliver, I can see that you've got some chips here. What's on top?

0:09:530:09:58

-Ketchup.

-Ketchup. Nice. And what's this down the bottom?

-A taco.

0:09:580:10:03

That sounds delicious. Well done, Oliver.

0:10:030:10:07

SNORING What's that noise?

0:10:070:10:10

It sounds like someone's asleep at our party. Who is it, everyone?

0:10:100:10:15

-MINI MAKERS:

-The Shapes!

-That's right! It's the Shapes.

0:10:150:10:19

I think we should wake them up. After three. Ready? One, two, three!

0:10:190:10:24

-ALL:

-Wake-up!

0:10:240:10:26

-# I am a shape

-La-la-la-la

0:10:400:10:43

0:10:480:10:50

-# Bounce, bounce, everybody

-What's it going to be?

0:11:250:11:28

# Wait and we will see a shape for you and me. #

0:11:280:11:31

-I am a triangle!

-THEY CHEER

0:11:310:11:34

What's hiding behind the triangles?

0:11:350:11:39

Can you guess?

0:11:420:11:45

That's right! It's a cake! That was fantastic, Triangle.

0:11:530:11:57

It's time to get back on the shelf.

DANCE MUSIC Scrappz's surprise party popper.

0:12:140:12:19

What a tasty-looking torn paper strawberry.

0:12:200:12:24

Today, Scrappz is getting help from one of the Mini Makers.

0:12:240:12:28

Hi, I'm Taya and today we're going to make a torn paper strawberry.

0:12:280:12:33

Here's how to do it.

0:12:330:12:35

Get a piece of lilac card and lay it down on your work desk.

0:12:350:12:39

After that, you get your red piece of card

0:12:390:12:41

and slowly tear it into a strawberry shape.

0:12:410:12:44

Gently tear around until you've got your shape.

0:12:440:12:48

Lots of little tears.

0:12:480:12:50

And when you've done that, glue it down onto your piece of purple card.

0:12:500:12:56

And after you've done that, get your green card

0:13:000:13:03

and gently tear some green leaves to fit onto your strawberry.

0:13:030:13:11

And finally, get your luminous yellow stickers and stick them

0:13:190:13:23

all over your strawberry.

0:13:230:13:26

And there you have it. It looks really yummy, doesn't it?

0:13:280:13:32

What a scrumptious strawberry. Thanks, Taya.

0:13:320:13:36

And you can make any type of torn paper fruit you like.

0:13:360:13:40

-Amy, that looks amazing. What have you made?

-I've made a tomato.

0:13:400:13:46

It's very nice indeed. How did you make all the seeds?

0:13:460:13:51

-I used little yellow stickers.

-They look brilliant. What a great tomato.

0:13:510:13:58

Fletcher, this is very interesting. You've made some corn.

0:13:580:14:02

You've used different types of paper. What have you used?

0:14:020:14:06

I've used brown paper, a light yellow paper

0:14:060:14:09

and a darker yellow paper so it gets the effect of the corn.

0:14:090:14:13

It looks really good.

0:14:130:14:16

This looks like a very healthy picture. Jessica has made cherries.

0:14:160:14:21

And what finishing touches have you added?

0:14:210:14:24

I've added two stickers for light reflection, a stalk and a leaf.

0:14:240:14:29

Wow! It looks brilliant! Just like the real thing! Well done, Jessica.

0:14:290:14:34

Well done, Mini Makers. Right now, follow me.

0:14:340:14:37

Follow me, Mini Makers. That's it, my friends. That's it.

0:14:370:14:41

Now, you are about to make a brilliant party picture.

0:14:410:14:46

Have a look at the screen and see if you can guess what it is.

0:14:460:14:50

What picture are today's Mini Makers making?

0:14:500:14:54

Any ideas?

0:15:020:15:04

What do you think it could be?

0:15:120:15:15

-MINI MAKERS:

-A bowl of ice cream!

0:15:210:15:25

It was a bowl of ice cream. It was a brilliant picture.

0:15:250:15:28

BUZZER SOUNDS And that is a brilliant sound

0:15:280:15:32

-because it means it's time for... MINI MAKERS:

-An arty party game!

0:15:320:15:37

Yay!

0:15:370:15:39

So, it's over to Party Cam to find out

0:15:390:15:42

which Mini Makers are playing today. Off you go.

0:15:420:15:45

It's Leona! THEY CHEER

0:15:500:15:53

Who's next? Let's find out.

0:15:530:15:56

It's Ewan! THEY CHEER

0:16:010:16:04

And, last but not least, who is it?

0:16:040:16:07

It's Brendan! THEY CHEER

0:16:120:16:15

Well done, my friends.

0:16:150:16:18

You've been chosen for a very special party challenge.

0:16:180:16:22

It's nearly dinner time and, Mini Makers,

0:16:220:16:25

today you're going to be mini chefs.

0:16:250:16:29

You're going to serve up a delicious spaghetti bolognese.

0:16:290:16:33

But today I'm feeling quite hungry

0:16:330:16:36

so I would like a giant portion on my giant plate.

0:16:360:16:39

Look at that! It's massive!

0:16:390:16:42

And you're going to use all these wonderful ingredients.

0:16:420:16:46

We've got spaghetti, we've got mince, tomatoes

0:16:460:16:49

and some tasty-looking toppings.

0:16:490:16:52

So, Ewan, Leona and Brandon, do you think you can do it?

0:16:520:16:56

-ALL:

-Yes!

-I think so too, my friends.

0:16:560:16:59

But you've got to serve up that spaghetti before Scrappz

0:16:590:17:03

-makes this noise...

-Mamma Mia! Ha-ha-ha!

0:17:030:17:07

Get ready, get steady... Mini chefs,

0:17:070:17:11

go!

0:17:110:17:13

Off you go, my friends.

0:17:140:17:17

That's it. Spread it out. That's it.

0:17:180:17:21

You've got it. Well done. It's looking nice already.

0:17:210:17:25

-What do you think we should do next, Leona?

-Add mince.

-OK, off you go.

0:17:250:17:30

A bit closer maybe, Brandon. That's it.

0:17:300:17:33

We'd better hurry up, Mini Makers. That's it. Get that sauce on there.

0:17:330:17:40

Right, let's find some toppings. Get it on, my friend. Put loads on.

0:17:400:17:46

Put loads on. MUSIC SPEEDS UP

0:17:460:17:50

Get the knife and the fork. OK. Brilliant, that's great.

0:17:500:17:53

Ha-ha-ha! Mama Mia!

0:17:530:17:56

-Oh! Scrappz says time up. Back over here, Mini Makers.

-Yay!

0:17:560:18:02

Well done, Mini Makers. Look at that super spaghetti Bolognese.

0:18:020:18:07

It's almost good enough to eat.

0:18:070:18:09

Well done, my friends. That was brilliant.

0:18:110:18:15

But now it's time to tidy up. So you get started, Mini Makers.

0:18:150:18:19

We've had a brilliant arty party today.

0:18:190:18:22

We've had lots of fantastic foodie fun,

0:18:240:18:27

making yummy paper sandwiches and torn paper fruit and veg.

0:18:270:18:31

We found out how Giuseppe Arcimboldo used food in his art

0:18:310:18:35

and we made some giant super spaghetti.

0:18:350:18:38

# We've been arty at our arty party

0:18:390:18:43

# Are you ready

0:18:430:18:46

# Your fun has just begun! # THEY CHEER

0:18:460:18:49

0:18:500:18:55

It's time to put the party pad back in its box.

0:18:550:18:57

-See you soon everyone. Bye! MINI MAKERS:
