is fast approaching,
and that means a packed calendar
of footie to look forward to.
Yes, the games are
coming thick and fast.
Luckily, there is plenty to enjoy
on this week's Kickabout.
Here is what's coming up:
Ahead of today's big name
between Arsenal and Man Utd,
we look at one of the key players,
Mesut Ozil, and give you some top
tips on how his skills can
improve your game.
There's loads of fantastic videos
and pictures from you lot at home.
And, check out our top five ones
to watch when it comes to footie
superstars of the future.
So, plenty of action to come,
and let's kick things off
by checking out this
week's headline hitters.
England women scored
four goals in 12 minutes
as they thrashed Kazakhstan 5-0
to maintain their perfect start
to World Cup qualifying.
Nikita Parris scored twice,
including this corker,
to leave England second in Group 1,
one point behind Wales who beat
Bosnia 1-0 on Tuesday,
and have one more game.
Elsewhere, Northern Ireland
gained their first point
of the qualifying campaign
after beating Slovakia 3-1.
And, two former Premier League
managers return to action this week.
Everton confirmed Sam Allardyce
as their new manager
after a five-week search
for a successor, and West Brom
appointed former Newcastle
and Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew.
Can we expect moves like this
if they start to pick up form?
I hope not for everyone's sake!
Dad dancing at its worst.
Alan Pardew faces a tough test
for his first game in charge
as he welcomes his first club
What an atmosphere
that promises to be.
Elsewhere, today's early kick-off
sees Chelsea welcome
Newcastle to Stamford Bridge,
and tomorrow there is
the south coast derby
between Bournemouth and Southampton.
Plus, City take on West Ham.
The big game of the weekend
is the late kick-off
at the Emirates today
between Arsenal and Man United.
For us, this man could be a game
changer for the Gunners.
If he is in top form,
Mesut Ozil is a proven matchwinner.
He was superb on Wednesday,
scoring and providing two assists
to help Arsenal make it seven wins
from seven Premier League
home games this season.
What skills does it take to pull off
moments of Mesut Ozil magic?
Very aware. Brilliant from Mesut
Brilliant, measured pass.
Mesut Ozil is the king of assists.
In fact, since arriving in England
four years ago, he has created more
chances than any other Premier
League player, and more assists.
There is so much we can learn from
him. Follow these steps and you will
be creating chances galore for your
team-mates every week. Perfect your
technique. Technique is all about
how you pick and control the ball.
Just look at this, he is completely
comfortable with the ball and makes
it look so easy. But remember,
practice and dedication gotten
there. Why not work harder to make
your technique good? And if it is
good, work even harder to make it
great. That is what Mesut Ozil did
as a kid growing up in Germany. Know
what is around you. When you watch
him, it is like he has got 360
degrees vision, almost like he has
eyes in the back of his head. Look
at this against Leicester,
absolutely ridiculous. The key to
this skill is to be constantly aware
of what is around you when you have
not got the ball. If you know where
your team-mates and opponents are,
when you get the ball, you are one
step ahead. It is your time to shine
and you know what to do with it.
Split the defence. Mesut Ozil
creates so many chances for his
team-mates because he is always
looking for the killer ball, he is
world class at finding space and
executing a perfectly weighted pass,
whether it is rolling the ball
through on the ground, or hitting it
over the top. Look at this assist
with Theo Walcott. Absolutely
perfect. Look for a team-mate to
make a run into space, and then hit
the ball through to them. Remember,
don't pass it to their feet, it it
into the space they are running
into. This is what Mesut Ozil does
so well and defenders just can't
handle it. Make runs. Some fans with
size him for being lazy, but that is
not true. Look at this. Mesut Ozil
realises he can't split the defence
himself because they are too deep so
he knocks the ball to a team-mate
and makes an amazing run into the
box. Look around the pitch, if you
find some space, sprint into it and
this will make you such a better
player and your team-mates will love
you. Be creative. Mesut Ozil is one
of the most creative players on the
planet, that is why he has played
for teams like Real Madrid and won
so much silverware. Doing something
different, or doing something
special, is what can lift your game
to a new level. Just like Mesut
Ozil, never be afraid to do
something out of the ordinary. It
might be a nightmare, a twist, a
term, something to get you away from
the man, or an amazing flick that
sets up a goal. It won't always
work, but when it does, the fans
will be cheering you on. The key is
confidence. Stay confident, have
faith in your ability and you never
know what might happen, you might
even win the World Cup!

into perspective just how busy we

game weeks of the season. The next

managers want to keep their squad
fresh it could be all about bringing
young players through. We are
