Ooh! Now, curdle my compost. Look what we've got here, tiddlers.

These are strawberries. And look what we've got here.

What happens if we follow this shoot? What's at the end there?

-Leaves.

-That means there's a baby strawberry plant growing there.

-Yeah?

There's one more.

That's right. It's a teeny, tiny strawberry plant

and this is how a new strawberry plant gets made.

The big plant holds on to the little plant

until the little plant's big enough to go it alone.

-Does it remind you of anything?

-Holding my mummy and daddy's hand.

Of holding your mummy and daddy's hand?

That's right. Shall we all hold hands?

We're like the strawberry plants. I'd be the big one.

We're the two little ones.

We can help this baby plant to grow by pushing the shoots into the soil

and that way, it'll help the roots to go deep down into the ground.

Look at these big baby strawberry plants!

They've grown so much, they don't need to be connected

to this big plant any more. We can give the shoot a snip and that way,

the big baby plant can go to grow

-all on its own.

-They're not holding on any more!

They're not. They're not holding hands, are they?

Ooh, all right, Compo. We're coming.

Come on, it's feeding time.
