A rare sight in the night sky as five planets align.

And is this a kite surfing world record?

First, imagine finding out you've got the skeleton of a pirate

That's what happened to kids in Edinburgh.

I've come to this school in Edinburgh because experts believe

they could have discovered the remains of a pirate

But, Martin, how could a pirate be found underneath the playground?

The remains date to about the 16th century.

It is of a port next to the seaside, the actual site was on the beach.

But unfortunately we do not have an eye patch or it

If you look up into the night sky this week you could see

Five planets which have all moved into one line,

Can you tell us which planets? It is the five big planet 's closest to

the Sun we see shining like Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Venus and the planet

Mercury. You can look up into the sky and they are there? That is the

great thing, you do not need a telescope or binoculars, they shine

from the reflect the delight of the Sun and so they aren't like bright

stars. Mercury, spread to the south to Jupiter. How do you tell the

difference if it is a star or planet? You need skill to do that.

Some of the brightest things in the sky are planets. If you see a bright

looking star it is probably Venus. Mars is the red planet. When do you

need to look at this? Unfortunately, you have to be up before it is

bright. Up to 7am. 7am, just before, is the best. Why is this happening

at the moment? All of the planets are going around the sun and where

we are in our orbit, we are looking out with these planets on the same

side of the sun. As the sun rises, the planets come up before it in the

sky and they are on the same side of the sun and so they are easy to see.

It is rare, when will it happen next? It is ten years since the last

time we had all five together and it is that timescale. Several years.
