stories to start your week.

First - there are just four days to go until

the greatest show on Earth, the Olympics, kicks off.

Team GB are arriving at their training camp in Brazil

and among those who've just landed is sprinter Dina Asher-Smith,

the fastest woman in British history.

Here's what she's hoping to do in Rio.

Focusing on running as fast as I can in the moment that counts

is definitely what I'm going for.

I don't know how far that's going to get me.

I don't know, it might be a final place, it might be better than that,

but as long as I've gone out there and genuinely done the best

that I can, fingers crossed, touch wood, run faster than ever

before, it will be good.

Believe it or not, four years ago, she was a kit

carrier at the London 2012 Olympics.

Team GB had a great Games, winning 65 medals.

And there were plenty of other memorable moments too.

Ricky's been taking a look back.

It's nearly four years now since the Olympics came to London

and what a Games it was.

The big star heading into the Games was Mr Usain Bolt.

The pressure was on him to deliver on the track, and he certainly

rose to the challenge.

He's pulling away!

He's going to win the gold!

9.64.

Team GB cyclists were favourites going into the Games and they

certainly didn't disappoint.

Sir Bradley Wiggins stormed to victory in the time trial,

the team winning another 11 medals including a record sixth gold

for Sir Chris Hoy.

The swimming pool also saw records broken -

American Michael Phelps became the most successful Olympian

of all time in London.

Team GB's defining moment came on the day now forever

remembered as Super Saturday.

Greg Rutherford is the Olympic champion!

Jessica Ennis, the best all-round athlete in the world.

Mo Farah for Great Britain, it's gold!

Others came into the Olympics with a point to prove after narrowly

missing out on gold in her three previous Olympics, finally

tears of joy for rower Katherine Grainger.

At long, long last, Katherine Grainger is

the Olympic champion.

Over in tennis, Britain's Andy Murray got revenge on Roger Federer

just weeks after losing to him at Wimbledon.

London 2012 was a ground-breaking Games for women.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Brunei sent athletes to the Olympics

for the first time ever, and in boxing women were finally

allowed to compete in the ring, with Team GB's Nicola Adams

bursting onto the scene.

Nicola Adams of Great Britain has just made sporting history!

And the Brownlee brothers, Alistair and Jonathan, picked up

gold and bronze in the triathlon.

Although not everything went to plan...

Oh, here you go, the first calamity.

..it was an incredible fortnight of sport and will certainly

take some beating.

Children's writer and illustrator Liz Pichon has created

a new tapestry to mark 950 years since the Battle of Hastings -

one of the most important events in English history.

BBC reporter Holly Hamilton is with the artwork in the town

where the battle took place.

Good morning and welcome to beautiful Battle this morning.

We are here in the Abbey taking a look at this tapestry,

which has had a bit of a 21st-century tilt,

it's fair to say.

We have here the War of the Roses, William Shakespeare's birth right

here, Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder plot as you've never seen it before,

the Battle of Waterloo.

All of these images have been chosen by children.

Imagine having to come up with the top ten events

in British history.

Not easy but the schoolchildren have managed to do it and it's

all because of English Heritage.

Let's speak to Michael, who came up with this idea.

Tell me, why have you created this tapestry with a bit

of a modern twist on it?

To mark the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings,

we asked children across the country for their top ten moments.

They came back with some fantastic choices, from William the Conqueror

all the way to the World Wide Web.

We asked children's illustrator Liz Pichon to bring it to life.

We hope it will inspire children about history and encourage them

to go out and visit the sites like here, where history was made.
