It's Friday, you're live with Newsround on CBBC.

0:00:030:00:06

I'm Ricky - stick around for some of this.

0:00:060:00:10

The baby Hippo trying out her pool for the first time...

0:00:100:00:14

And some buzzing bees on the way.

0:00:140:00:18

But first to Donald Trump - the President of the US.

0:00:260:00:29

Today the world has been reacting to news he's backed out of a big

0:00:290:00:32

deal to tackle climate change.

0:00:320:00:34

Here's Leah.

0:00:340:00:37

Apart from China, the US produces the most greenhouse gases

0:00:370:00:40

of any other country in the world - from things like factories and cars.

0:00:400:00:45

These are the gases that cause climate change,

0:00:450:00:48

that are harmful to our planet.

0:00:480:00:50

Former US President Barack Obama was one of almost 200 world leaders

0:00:500:00:54

who made a deal in Paris to tackle the problem.

0:00:540:00:58

But now the new president, Donald Trump, says he is pulling out

0:00:580:01:01

to protect America's interests.

0:01:010:01:04

We don't want other leaders and other countries

0:01:040:01:06

laughing at us any more.

0:01:060:01:10

So, we are getting out.

0:01:100:01:12

But we will start to negotiate and we will see if we can make

0:01:120:01:15

a deal that is fair.

0:01:150:01:18

And if we can, that's great.

0:01:180:01:21

Many of Trump's supporters in areas

0:01:210:01:22

like Pennsylvania and West Virginia, where lots of people work

0:01:220:01:25

in coal-mining, believe the move will help protect jobs.

0:01:250:01:29

But this has angered lots of other world leaders.

0:01:290:01:32

The UK Prime Minister, Theresa May, says she was

0:01:320:01:34

disappointed but committed to the climate change deal.

0:01:340:01:38

French President Emmanuel Macron says Mr Trump's decision

0:01:380:01:41

was a mistake, and he wants to make the planet great again.

0:01:410:01:47

Countries like Germany and China, who have signed up

0:01:470:01:49

to the Paris agreement, say that they will continue

0:01:490:01:51

to work hard to try and tackle climate change.

0:01:510:01:56

At Newsround online you can find out more about the Paris climate deal

0:01:570:02:00

and what climate change is.

0:02:000:02:05

Next, although you guys can't vote in the general

0:02:050:02:07

election on June eighth, the choices made will have a big

0:02:070:02:09

impact on your lives.

0:02:090:02:11

But with so many different political parties competing with each other,

0:02:110:02:15

we're giving you the low down on the main ones.

0:02:150:02:17

Here's a quick look at the Scottish National Party.

0:02:170:02:22

The SNP in 60 seconds.

0:02:220:02:24

The letters SNP stand for Scottish National Party.

0:02:240:02:27

It was formed in 1934 to fight for Scottish independence.

0:02:270:02:31

Here is the party's logo.

0:02:310:02:34

It's a mixture of the Scottish flag and the country's national

0:02:340:02:36

flower, the thistle.

0:02:360:02:38

In the last two years, the SNP have been the third largest

0:02:380:02:41

party in the UK Parliament.

0:02:410:02:44

Nearly all the MPs from Scotland are from the SNP.

0:02:440:02:47

And they run the Scottish Government in Edinburgh, which makes decisions

0:02:470:02:50

on how important issues like education, health,

0:02:500:02:53

and the environment run in Scotland.

0:02:530:02:56

Their leader is Nicola Sturgeon, who joined the party

0:02:560:02:58

when she was just 16.

0:02:580:03:01

In 2014, there was a vote on whether to make Scotland

0:03:010:03:03

a separate country.

0:03:030:03:05

Most people there decided to stay part of the United Kingdom.

0:03:050:03:09

But Nicola Sturgeon has said Scotland should get another vote

0:03:090:03:11

on independence in the near future.

0:03:110:03:15

The SNP will be hoping to have a successful election,

0:03:150:03:17

so they can continue to push for Scottish independence.

0:03:170:03:21

Go to Newsround online to find out about the UK's other

0:03:220:03:25

main political parties with our quick sixty-second guides.

Are you going to help me out with my big plan to be an MP?

0:03:530:03:57

ALL: Yeah!

0:03:570:03:59

It's usually formed by the party that wins the election.

0:03:590:04:02

Yay!

0:04:020:04:03

No.

0:04:030:04:04

Not that kind of party.

0:04:040:04:08

Here is Larry the cat.

0:04:080:04:10

And because it's Friday here's Fiona the baby Hippo.

0:04:180:04:23

At four months old she has just been allowed

0:04:230:04:25

outside for the first time.

0:04:250:04:27

We're told she loves her pool and keeper say when she's ready

0:04:270:04:31

they'll introduce her to the public.

0:04:310:04:35

And finally three hives have been delivered to a huge organisation

0:04:350:04:37

called the United Nations in New York.

0:04:370:04:39

It's all part of their pledge to help the envioronment.

0:04:390:04:42

The UN is part of a club of countries which help solve some

0:04:420:04:45

of the world's problems.

0:04:450:04:47

It's thought the colony could grow to 200,000 bees.

0:04:470:04:52
