Good afternoon.

0:00:020:00:03

I'm Ayshah and I've got your Newsround update this Saturday.

0:00:030:00:08

The Dragons go wild, as their team head to the semi-finals.

0:00:080:00:13

An injury scare for the fastest man in the world before the Olympics.

0:00:130:00:17

And the naughty orangutan who jumped out of her enclosure.

0:00:170:00:22

First up, footy.

0:00:300:00:31

And there's one big story that everyone's talking about.

0:00:310:00:36

It was an unbelievable night in the

0:00:360:00:37

European Championships for Wales.

0:00:370:00:38

They beat Belgium 3-1 to reach the semi-finals of the Euros

0:00:380:00:41

for the first time in their history!

0:00:410:00:43

Here's Jenny with the amazing story.

0:00:430:00:45

Walking out for the game of their lives.

0:00:450:00:49

Wales knew that a win would take them through to their

0:00:490:00:52

first ever semifinal in a major tournament.

0:00:520:00:55

However, they went into the game as underdogs.

0:00:550:00:57

Belgium, ranked the second-best team in the world, were strong favourites

0:00:570:01:01

Belgium, ranked the second-best team in the world, were strong favourites

0:01:010:01:02

to win, and after early domination, Belgium went ahead with this

0:01:020:01:05

thunderous 25-yard strike.

0:01:050:01:06

COMMENTATOR: And he scores magnificently.

0:01:060:01:11

1-0.

0:01:110:01:12

But Wales did not give up and kept their belief.

0:01:120:01:14

After half an hour, the fightback began!

0:01:140:01:16

COMMENTATOR: Ashley Williams for Wales!

0:01:160:01:22

In the second half, Wales kept the pressure on Belgium.

0:01:220:01:24

They grew in confidence, and then Robson-Kanu

0:01:240:01:26

produced a moment of magic.

0:01:260:01:27

COMMENTATOR: What a turn, what a goal!

0:01:270:01:35

Belgium were shell-shocked.

0:01:350:01:37

Sensing victory, Wales refused to sit back and pressed

0:01:370:01:39

for a winner.

0:01:390:01:42

Their determination paid off.

0:01:420:01:44

A goal which showcased their unbreakable team spirit

0:01:440:01:46

and ability to create history.

0:01:460:01:50

COMMENTATOR: That's the whistle that counts!

0:01:500:01:54

COMMENTATOR: That's the whistle that counts!

0:01:540:01:55

Full-time: Wales 3 - Belgium 1.

0:01:550:01:58

After a 58-year wait to play in a major tournament once again,

0:01:580:02:01

Chris Coleman's side are just one game away from making

0:02:010:02:05

the final of Euro 2016.

0:02:050:02:07

Up next will be Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo

0:02:070:02:10

in Lyon on Wednesday.

0:02:100:02:12

Can this incredible story continue?

0:02:120:02:13

We will have to wait to find out.

0:02:130:02:21

Tennis now.

0:02:210:02:22

And world number one Novak Djokovic has come back fighting in his match

0:02:220:02:25

against American Sam Querrey.

0:02:250:02:26

Djokovic was losing by two sets when rain stopped play yesterday.

0:02:260:02:29

He came back strongly when they started the match again

0:02:290:02:32

just after midday.

0:02:320:02:33

But bad weather means they have had to take another break.

0:02:330:02:37

Whoever wins this will be on their way to the quarterfinals.

0:02:370:02:41

Sticking with sport.

0:02:410:02:44

And six-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt

0:02:440:02:46

has suffered an injury scare ahead of the Rio Olympics.

0:02:460:02:49

The double-world champ tore his hamstring -

0:02:490:02:50

that's the muscle at the back of his leg -

0:02:500:02:53

during the first round of Jamaica's Olympic trials.

0:02:530:02:56

Bolt posted this image online, showing he's already

0:02:560:02:58

receiving treatment.

0:02:580:03:00

And he is aiming to return for the London Anniversary

0:03:000:03:03

Games later this month.

0:03:030:03:06

Now, you might have seen some of these guys

0:03:060:03:08

on the streets yesterday.

0:03:080:03:09

Hundreds of people dressed as World War One soldiers walked

0:03:090:03:12

through cities around the country.

0:03:120:03:15

It was to get people to remember the sacrifices made 100 years ago

0:03:150:03:18

in the battle of the Somme.

0:03:180:03:20

The actors didn't speak, but they handed out cards with names

0:03:200:03:23

of the soldiers who died.

0:03:230:03:27

Next, to this nurse, Mary Seacole.

0:03:270:03:29

She was seen as a hero during a war which happened more

0:03:290:03:32

than 150 years ago.

0:03:320:03:35

It was called the Crimean, and claimed the lives

0:03:350:03:37

of 25,000 British soldiers.

0:03:370:03:39

Now she's been given a statue - the first one in the UK

0:03:390:03:42

dedicated to a black woman.

0:03:420:03:43

I've been looking into it.

0:03:430:03:49

This is the place in London where people who fought and helped

0:03:490:03:51

in the Crimean War are remembered.

0:03:510:03:55

For a long time, people have been arguing that a nurse called

0:03:550:03:57

Mary Seacole should be remembered somewhere, too.

0:03:570:04:00

12 years later, and she's been given a statue.

0:04:000:04:06

It will be outside St Thomas's Hospital and stand

0:04:060:04:08

at three metres tall.

0:04:080:04:09

Children's author Malorie Blackman was one of the people

0:04:090:04:11

who campaigned for it.

0:04:110:04:13

If anyone deserves a statue, it's Mary Seacole.

0:04:130:04:15

She was way ahead of her time.

0:04:150:04:19

She was a healer, she was a businesswoman,

0:04:190:04:21

she was a traveller.

0:04:210:04:22

But she was really rare for a woman in Victorian times.

0:04:220:04:25

But not everyone is happy about it.

0:04:250:04:26

Some people think Mary's statue shouldn't be in front of a hospital,

0:04:260:04:29

because she wasn't a trained nurse.

0:04:290:04:31

And they also believe that overshadows the achievements

0:04:310:04:34

of another famous figure, called Florence Nightingale.

0:04:340:04:37

But Malorie thinks Mary Seacole is really important

0:04:370:04:41

to British history.

0:04:410:04:46

People like Mary Seacole and Olaudah Equiano

0:04:460:04:47

and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor etc, black Britons, who have been written

0:04:470:04:51

out of the history books, I think it's wonderful

0:04:510:04:53

that we are now beginning to acknowledge their achievements.

0:04:530:04:56

And it also shows that, actually, people of colour

0:04:560:04:58

are part and parcel of Britain's history.

0:04:580:04:59

And that history belongs to everybody.

0:04:590:05:02

Now that there is a statue for her, it is hoped that more people

0:05:020:05:06

will get the chance to reflect and remember the life and times

0:05:060:05:09

of Mary Seacole.

0:05:090:05:11

One of Scotland's most famous golf clubs now allows women members.

0:05:110:05:14

Royal Troon made the decision last night.

0:05:140:05:17

It's the first time women have been allowed to join,

0:05:170:05:19

since the club opened more than 100 years ago.

0:05:190:05:26

Last up today, a cheeky orangutan tried to escape from a zoo

0:05:260:05:28

in Florida in the US.

0:05:280:05:29

in Florida in the US.

0:05:290:05:30

She decided to jump out and have a bit of a walk.

0:05:300:05:33

The keepers managed to get her back into her habitat safely.

0:05:330:05:38

Don't forget to go online for more great stories, including

0:05:380:05:40

loads more on the European Championships.

0:05:400:05:43

And the discovery of a new swimming centipede.

0:05:430:05:48

And a round-up of all the week's weirdest stories.

0:05:480:05:50

That's all from me and the team today.

0:05:500:05:52

Thanks for watching.

0:05:520:05:53

We're back in the morning just before 10am.
