Hi, everyone. It's Friday and you've got Joe and Hayely here with

:00:22.:00:32.

all today's news. We've got a packed programme and here's what's

:00:32.:00:34.

coming up. We get an exclusive interview with star striker Rooney.

:00:35.:00:39.

And find out why Top Gear's motormouth is in trouble.

:00:39.:00:42.

But first, volcano experts in Iceland have been keeping a close

:00:42.:00:47.

eye on what could be a massive eruption coming soon. In the last

:00:47.:00:49.

month, there have been lots of tremors detected underneath the

:00:49.:00:53.

glaciers. And people are worried they could lead to major floods.

:00:53.:01:00.

When volcanoes erupt, it's an amazing sight, but extremely

:01:00.:01:06.

dangerous to be nearby. This is Katla, a gigantic volcano

:01:06.:01:11.

in Iceland. It has a crater the size of a small city, seven miles

:01:11.:01:16.

wide. And hundreds of metres underground there are signs of

:01:16.:01:19.

activity that are keeping the volcano experts busy. They've

:01:19.:01:26.

detected tremors. More than 500 in the last month. That's pretty

:01:26.:01:30.

strong evidence that an eruption could be on its way. People living

:01:30.:01:38.

close by are worried. And with good reason. Last year a neighbouring

:01:38.:01:41.

volcano, Aya Fiertla Yerkill, erupted causing a massive ash cloud

:01:41.:01:44.

that covered our skies and stopped air travel right across the world.

:01:44.:01:47.

Airports were brought to a standstill and loads of people were

:01:47.:01:53.

stranded. It is just the elements, not a lot we can do about it.

:01:53.:01:58.

Nobody seems to be able to tell us what is happening. The movement of

:01:58.:02:02.

ash clouds is all down to the wind, so nobody knows if a new eruption

:02:02.:02:06.

in Iceland will cause the same kind of trouble. But on the ground,

:02:06.:02:09.

icebergs could be swept into the sea and the flooding could be

:02:09.:02:14.

immense. Last time Katla erupted was nearly 100 years ago. But in

:02:14.:02:17.

the one before that around 250 years ago, the water from the

:02:17.:02:22.

melted ice was enough to fill all of the world's rivers. So all eyes

:02:22.:02:27.

are on Katla to see what happens next.

:02:27.:02:30.

Next, Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has sparked a whopping

:02:30.:02:32.

21,000 complaints from viewers following comments he made on tv

:02:32.:02:40.

about the strikes earlier this week. He's made a career out of being

:02:40.:02:42.

outspoken and sometimes offensive but his latest suggestion on what

:02:42.:02:45.

should happen to the public sector workers who were protesting about

:02:45.:02:55.
:02:55.:02:58.

changes to their pensions has got a lot of people angry.. I would take

:02:58.:03:02.

them outside and execute them in front of their family is, I would

:03:02.:03:06.

have them all shot. That was on The One Show earlier this week. But

:03:06.:03:09.

it's even got the Prime Minister and the leader of the opposition

:03:09.:03:14.

talking about it. It was a silly thing to say and I am sure he did

:03:14.:03:18.

not mean it. Absolutely disgraceful and disgusting comments.

:03:18.:03:22.

It's not the first time Clarkson has got himself into trouble. He's

:03:22.:03:24.

triggered complaints from disabled groups, has been accused of racism

:03:25.:03:28.

and even managed to make ex-Prime Minister Gordon Brown the butt of a

:03:28.:03:38.
:03:38.:03:42.

joke. Clarkson has now apologised, Lots of you have been in touch

:03:42.:03:52.
:03:52.:04:07.

Keep your comments coming in. A bit of Christmas spirit now. If there's

:04:07.:04:11.

one man who gets pretty busy around this time of year, it's... No, not

:04:11.:04:14.

Santa, but the Archbishop of York John Sentamu. He's definitely an

:04:14.:04:21.

archbishop with a bit of a When you think of churches, you

:04:21.:04:31.
:04:31.:04:35.

probably think of this and this, This is the Archbishop of York Dr

:04:35.:04:38.

John Sentamu. The second most important man in the Church of

:04:38.:04:43.

England. Over the years, he's chopped up his dog collar on TV and

:04:43.:04:47.

lived for a week in a tent to protest against human rights abuse

:04:47.:04:53.

around the world. And he's hiked 280 miles for charity. So with

:04:53.:04:56.

Christmas just around the corner, we thought we'd ask him a few

:04:56.:05:05.

festive questions. What is the best Christmas present you ever had?

:05:05.:05:12.

must have been when I was about 10. I put my faith in Christ and on

:05:12.:05:18.

Christmas morning my father brought me a pair of short white trousers

:05:18.:05:23.

and a white shirt and some shoes. The shoes did not fit because they

:05:24.:05:29.

belonged to my brother! What is your favourite Christmas song?

:05:29.:05:38.

the herald angels sing, Loretta God. It is fantastic! -- glory to God.

:05:38.:05:43.

Who would you like a Christmas card from? Her Majesty the Queen. Every

:05:43.:05:49.

time I meet her, I feel she warmth coming towards me. As if you are

:05:49.:05:53.

the only person that matters. She has an amazing graciousness about

:05:53.:05:56.

her. So there we have it, quite an

:05:56.:05:59.

extraordinary Archbishop! And while he's getting on with his busy

:05:59.:06:09.
:06:09.:06:11.

Christmas schedule, we'll leave you He is so cool!

:06:11.:06:15.

And if youre footy mad then make sure you watch Match of the Day

:06:15.:06:18.

Kickabout tomorrow because Ore is there with an exclusive chat with

:06:18.:06:23.

Wayne Rooney. He tells us what his real nickname

:06:24.:06:27.

is, who he sung with at his wedding and so much more. Here's a sneaky

:06:27.:06:37.
:06:37.:06:38.

preview. I used to play it on the estate,

:06:38.:06:43.

aiming for the road signs! That was the target! The roadsides must have

:06:43.:06:48.

taken a battering? It got a bit silly in the end because we were

:06:48.:06:53.

aiming for them and in the end we were aiming overcast to try to hit

:06:53.:06:58.

them and stuff! Next, who needs the sun to go

:06:58.:07:03.

surfing. Not these guys. All they need is glow in the dark gear to

:07:03.:07:08.

catch some nightime waves in Australia. But how surfing has

:07:08.:07:13.

changed over the years! Check out the original surfer dudes. They

:07:13.:07:16.

needed big boards for the even bigger waves even back then. That's

:07:16.:07:20.

all for now. Joe's back with today's top stories just before

:07:20.:07:26.
