Afternoon guys. | 0:00:11 | 0:00:11
I'm Naz - it's Saturday and you're watching Newsround. | 0:00:11 | 0:00:14
We've got plenty coming your way. | 0:00:14 | 0:00:15
The Strictly stars tell us about their dancing mishaps! | 0:00:15 | 0:00:18
And feeling hot - the three bears caught taking a cheeky dip! | 0:00:18 | 0:00:26
First up - we're taking a look at Jupiter like it's never | 0:00:36 | 0:00:39
been seen before... | 0:00:39 | 0:00:41
These spectacular pics have been sent back by NASA's Juno spacecraft, | 0:00:41 | 0:00:45
which is orbiting the biggest planet in our Solar System - | 0:00:45 | 0:00:49
on a mission to uncover the secrets of the gassy giant. | 0:00:49 | 0:00:52
Well earlier I spoke to scientist, Dr Jonathan Nichols, | 0:00:52 | 0:00:54
who's worked on the mission, and he told us what the new images show. | 0:00:54 | 0:00:59
So these pictures are taken from the Juno spacecraft over | 0:00:59 | 0:01:02
the poles, so we are getting great images of the swirly storms and not | 0:01:02 | 0:01:05
the usual stripy bandy structure that we usually see on Jupiter. | 0:01:05 | 0:01:09
There has also been some other pictures which are | 0:01:09 | 0:01:11
incredible, aren't they? | 0:01:11 | 0:01:12
Yes, we have seen some great infrared images of Jupiter, | 0:01:12 | 0:01:22
where we have seen how hot it is and we have seen some | 0:01:31 | 0:01:34
great auroral images, the Northern lights on Jupiter. | 0:01:34 | 0:01:36
And Juno has also picked up some sounds, let's have a quick listen. | 0:01:36 | 0:01:39
HIGH-PITCHED NOISES. | 0:01:39 | 0:01:40
What are we hearing there? | 0:01:40 | 0:01:41
We are hearing the sound of Jupiter's magnetic | 0:01:41 | 0:01:43
field is wobbling. | 0:01:43 | 0:01:44
They are radio waves, just like radio waves transmitting | 0:01:44 | 0:01:46
this television signal, that have been converted to sound, | 0:01:46 | 0:01:48
just like your television converts radio waves into sound, | 0:01:48 | 0:01:51
so that we can hear what Jupiter's magnetic field | 0:01:51 | 0:01:53
is doing, wobbling around. | 0:01:53 | 0:01:54
So you have seen lots of new pictures, lots of sound | 0:01:54 | 0:01:57
there as well, what are you learning from all this new stuff | 0:01:57 | 0:01:59
that is coming in? | 0:01:59 | 0:02:00
We're learning about the formation of Jupiter and that is really | 0:02:00 | 0:02:03
important for the formation of the solar system as a whole | 0:02:03 | 0:02:06
4.5 million years ago, the formation of our planet as well. | 0:02:06 | 0:02:08
That is such exciting stuff and as a scientist you must be | 0:02:08 | 0:02:11
really excited by all this? | 0:02:11 | 0:02:12
I am absolutely over the moon. | 0:02:12 | 0:02:14
It is fantastic and we have got 37 orbits of Juno now, | 0:02:14 | 0:02:17
it is going to take lots of great science. | 0:02:17 | 0:02:19
And then at the end of the mission it is going to dive into Jupiter's | 0:02:19 | 0:02:22
atmosphere and burn up. | 0:02:22 | 0:02:23
Next - Tropical Storm Hermine is moving over | 0:02:23 | 0:02:25
America's east coast, after battering | 0:02:25 | 0:02:27
the state of Florida. | 0:02:27 | 0:02:28
Emergency crews have been working to help people affected. | 0:02:28 | 0:02:30
One person has died and thousands of homes have | 0:02:30 | 0:02:32
been left without power. | 0:02:32 | 0:02:33
Forecasters say Hermine is set to bring high winds and heavy | 0:02:33 | 0:02:36
rain to the east coast. | 0:02:36 | 0:02:44
They're hard to see but you can probably find them | 0:02:44 | 0:02:46
in your bathroom at home. | 0:02:46 | 0:02:47
Microbeads - tiny plastic pieces are found in things | 0:02:47 | 0:02:50
like toothpaste and shower gel. | 0:02:50 | 0:02:51
Now the government says they'll be banned by next year. | 0:02:51 | 0:02:53
Here's Jenny to explain what they are and why | 0:02:53 | 0:02:55
people want them gone. | 0:02:55 | 0:03:05
Microbeads, they are tiny balls of plastic smaller | 0:03:05 | 0:03:07
than five millimetres, roughly the size of a grain of sand. | 0:03:07 | 0:03:10
They are used in things like shower gels, face wash and toothpaste | 0:03:10 | 0:03:13
to help add extra scrub. | 0:03:13 | 0:03:14
But many people, including a group of British MPs, want | 0:03:14 | 0:03:16
them banned. | 0:03:16 | 0:03:17
Why? | 0:03:17 | 0:03:18 | |
They say trillions of microbeads end up in the world's oceans, | 0:03:18 | 0:03:21
lakes and rivers and that harms the sea life who | 0:03:21 | 0:03:25
eat them by mistake. | 0:03:25 | 0:03:26
They reckon a shower can lead to 100,000 plastic | 0:03:26 | 0:03:28
particles entering the ocean. | 0:03:28 | 0:03:30
Many companies have already taken steps to remove microbeads | 0:03:30 | 0:03:32
from their products but campaigners say that a worldwide ban is needed | 0:03:32 | 0:03:34
to make a difference. | 0:03:34 | 0:03:42
Your wait is over - the new series of Strictly launches tonight! | 0:03:42 | 0:03:47
15 celebs will be hitting the dance floor, but not | 0:03:47 | 0:03:50
before giving our Ayshah all the backstage goss. | 0:03:50 | 0:03:51
MUSIC: Uptown Funk. | 0:03:51 | 0:04:01
And that is our very own Ore, well he used to be, | 0:04:04 | 0:04:07
we'll claim him as ours. | 0:04:07 | 0:04:08
Walking down the Strictly red carpet. | 0:04:08 | 0:04:09
Can't wait to watch him! | 0:04:09 | 0:04:14
I split my trousers. | 0:04:14 | 0:04:16
That was on day one. | 0:04:16 | 0:04:19
These ones are intact. | 0:04:19 | 0:04:20
Oh, you did. | 0:04:20 | 0:04:22
Oh! | 0:04:22 | 0:04:24 | |
I am a bit worried about the ballroom. | 0:04:24 | 0:04:27
My back needs to be slightly straighter, it is really hard | 0:04:27 | 0:04:33
to stand in that stance for quite awhile, so I need to work on that. | 0:04:33 | 0:04:37
So I am quite worried that one. | 0:04:37 | 0:04:39
No one has ever text me that, Greg you are great dancer. | 0:04:39 | 0:04:41
Have you thought about dancing? | 0:04:41 | 0:04:42
That is kind of a problem. | 0:04:42 | 0:04:44
Yeah, I think so, yeah. | 0:04:44 | 0:04:45
Doing a dance show is generally a problem. | 0:04:45 | 0:04:47
Oh, I always trip. | 0:04:47 | 0:04:48
Yeah, all the time. | 0:04:48 | 0:04:49
When I am in heels, I always trip, I am looking behind me | 0:04:49 | 0:04:52
to see if anyone saw. | 0:04:52 | 0:04:53
You will see me doing the Bruno Mars performance, | 0:04:53 | 0:04:58
Uptown Funk on the X Factor. | 0:04:58 | 0:05:00
All I can say is body lotion, or oil, pink tracksuit, gold chain, | 0:05:00 | 0:05:03
that is all I will say for now. | 0:05:03 | 0:05:05
I had a split in the trousers. | 0:05:05 | 0:05:11
I was dancing and the trousers just split open. | 0:05:11 | 0:05:17
Are you going to be as mean as you always are? | 0:05:17 | 0:05:20
Yes, I am, as a matter of fact. | 0:05:20 | 0:05:21
I am going to be as honest as... | 0:05:21 | 0:05:23
I try not to be mean. | 0:05:23 | 0:05:25
It is just some dancing really irks me. | 0:05:25 | 0:05:27
And I think it is really important to tell them so. | 0:05:27 | 0:05:30
My advice is always go in, work hard and have | 0:05:30 | 0:05:32
a good time with it. | 0:05:32 | 0:05:33
Don't get too stressed and neurotic about it. | 0:05:33 | 0:05:35
Put the hours in, work, listen to what the professionals | 0:05:35 | 0:05:37
are teaching you, but enjoy it. | 0:05:37 | 0:05:39
And finally, remember the story of Goldilocks and the three | 0:05:39 | 0:05:42
bears, well check this out. | 0:05:42 | 0:05:43
People in California in the US were taken by surprise | 0:05:43 | 0:05:48
when they spotted three bears taking a dip in a swimming pool! | 0:05:48 | 0:05:51
The bears were eventually chased back into the woods | 0:05:51 | 0:05:53
by a neighbourhood dog. | 0:05:53 | 0:05:58 |
