a leisurely cycle, oh no, Mark Beaumont wants to be

in the record books. In 2008, he cycled around

the world in 194 days His next adventure took him

from Alaska in North America And in 2015 he cycled the length

of Africa from Cairo But nearly 10 years

on from his world record, its been broken by other riders

and now stands at 123 days. But Mark doesn't want to just

beat the existing record by a couple of days -

he wants to do it in 80 days! It's an 18,000 mile journey -

which means he'll have to bike more than 200 miles each day

to set the record. And as a warm up he's going

on a seaside trip around Britain, biking around the coastline

to test his endurance. I need a journey like

this to test myself. So my support team knows what I'm

doing in preparation for the world, we will try to hold sub Ejide pace,

240 miles a day and excited to do a big adventure on home soil.
