and I have everything you need to know today on the way. The Queen

celebrates 60 years since her Coronation. And, the floodwater that

keeps on coming. This is Newsround. More towns are at risk of being

swamped as floodwaters spread through central Europe. Many homes

are already under water and cities in southern and eastern Germany are

on high alert. Water here is flowing six times higher than its normal

level and thousands of people have had to leave their homes for safety.

Some areas haven't seen anything like this for 500 years. It could be

days before the water levels go down. With the forecasts constantly

changing people living here have a nervous wait to see what happens

next. BBC reporter Christian fraser is in the Czech Republic.

You can see here the river is starting to overflow the kerb. It's

rising at 15 centimetres an hour. People further down the valley are

cut off already. All they can do is sit and wait. It's still raining.

It's predicted to rise another two metres.

Next, 60 years in the same job, and it's remarkable when that job is the

Queen of England. Today London was in celebratory mood as it marked the

years since the Queen's Coronation. The Queen arrived at Westminster

Abbey today for a service designed to mark and remember the 60 years

she has served the country. She was joined by Prince Charles who was

four years old at the time of her Coronation. And the Duke and Duchess

of Cambridge. Expecting their first child soon, this Royal couple's

first born could one day have its own Coronation here. The procession

through the Abbey was a quieter affair than it was 60 years ago.

Back then it was a dazzling spectacle both inside and outside

the Abbey. Street parties were thrown up and down the country. An

estimated 27 million Brits tuned in to watch it on television. The

majority, it was the first live event they had ever seen on the box.

During today's service a bottle of aromatic oil was taken to the alter

by a group of people representing different generations of her reign,

from six years to those in their 90s. Many of the same ornaments were

used and they even sung some of the same hymns from 60 years ago. The

Queen left to greet crowds with the Duke of Edinburgh who looked to have

recovered after feeling unwell in recent days.

morning Malorie was announced as the new children's Laureate. She's the

asked her why she got into writing. I have written 60 books and for me

the thing about it was having black children as the main characters in

them. Because I read thousands of books when I was a child and I

didn't read a single one that featured a black child like me, so I

thought what can I do? I want to be a writer. The major reason I wanted

to be a writer is write children's books that feature black children so

all the books I missed as a child I wanted to write. Tinie Tempah is a

fan, you mentions you you in one of his songs. My daughter heard it and

she came running up the stairs and went you are in the new song! We

went on YouTube and played it. It was so bizarre and so wonderful. I

thought, I am in a song! And it got to number one! It was wonderful.
