First up - a big supermarket chain

says it's going to stop selling

energy drinks to kids under 16.

You won't be able to buy the drinks

from Waitrose because of their high

levels of caffeine and sugar.

Children in the UK get through more

energy drinks each year

than in any other country in Europe.

We would like to know what you think

It is winter, so we probably

shouldn't be surprised that it's

pretty cold outside.

But in parts of America,

the temperatures are

much more drastic!

How cilly does this look?

The US is currently

on its tenth day of

record-breaking cold temperatures.

Which began around Christmas.

Some places have been

colder then Mars!

Yeah, that is so cold that some

experts have started describing it

as a bomb cyclone.

It certainly sounds dramatic.

It is caused when air pressure

drops quickly and means

even more freezing temperatures,

blizzards and dangerously icy winds.

Strong enough to bring down trees.

Some people say it could feel

like a winter hurricane.

Schools have been closed

in areas around New York,

which are likely to be

hardest hit by heavy snow.

It could be more than

25 centimetres deep.

Big cities like Boston also

face problems with big

blizzards on the way there also.

But for some people

in Tallahassee in

Florida snow weather has

been a bit of a novelty.

They have only had a little compared

to the other side of

the country and most of it melted

when it hit the ground.

But is the first time

they have snow in 28 years.

expect in the year ahead.

Tech fans will be gathering in

Las Vegas in the US for the annual

consumer Electronics show.

Sounds pretty dull but it

is actually where all

the latest gadgets get shown

off for the first time.

Smart speakers will

certainly be there.

The voice-activated

devices are taking over

our homes with a simple command

you can get things done.

You can ask the speakers

to play music, tell it to

research some homework and check

the weather forecast before

you leave the house.

Google and Amazon have already sold

millions of their smart

speakers.

In 2018, Apple will join them

with the launch of the home

pod.

Every year tech experts say it is

the year of the virtual reality

headset.

But VR hasn't really taken off

now that could be because they

are still pretty pricey.

Well, this year oculus

will release the oculus

go.

It is much cheaper

than their previous models.

The all in one headset doesn't

need to be linked up

to the console or the phone to work.

Could these robots

end up in our homes?

This is spot mini.

The robot acts as a

little bit like a dog.

The company that

makes some things it

would be a good addition

to homes and offices.

Last up, millions of people have

bought Nintendo's latest console.

The switch.

Rumours of a switch many

have been doing the

rounds online.

And as ever, every once

in a when the next PlayStation

will be out.

A great question. Inside a space

station, it know it doesn't because

the space station atmosphere is the

same. But when we go into a space

suits for our space walks we have to

go to a much much lower pressure

otherwise the space will be so rigid

we wouldn't be to move. We reduce

the the pressure inside the space

it. It is the same pressure to get

onto Everest. I find most

astronauts... It sounds that they

are speaking with a low much lower

pitch.
