First, the eight-year-old boy who has been writing letters to people

all over the world. He never expected to get any replies. 780

letters later, this is his story. Hi, my name's Toby and

I'm eight years old. Three years ago I asked my mum to

help me with a special project. I read a book called

The Letters From New Zealand and I wanted to speak to people

around the world to find out I started writing letters to places

like the South Pole and got Just before my sixth birthday I got

a response back from the South Pole and I even got a "happy

birthday, Toby" banner. I have written really

800 letters and it has been really good

handwriting practice. And the most exciting

thing happened. All the letters have been

turned into this book! People send me fridge

magnets, pop-up books But they also include

what their lives are like and what school is like,

so I do love all my responses. This just shows that you can make

friends all over the world. Next, an American army dog called

Lucca is being awarded The brave dog is getting

the highest award possible from an animal charity to recognise

the work she carried mission she was injured after

stepping on an explosive device. She recovered, though,

and has been flown to the UK First, more than a million migrants

and refugees have come to Europe Now a new plan to deal with the huge

numbers of people asking for help has begun, though it's

already causing problems. Migrants and refugees arriving

in Europe, just some of the many Already this year over 150,000

people, lots of them children, Many make the dangerous journey

to escape war and poverty in countries like Syria,

Iraq and parts of Africa. One of the first places

they usually get to is Lesbos, European governments have found it

difficult to cope with the huge numbers of those needing help

and they've spent a long time Well, the BBC's Sarah Rainsford

is in Greece, where many migrants are leaving by boat as part

of a new plan to deal I am in the harbour here on Lesbos

and that white passenger ferry over there, the small one

that's marked Turyol, is one of the ones that was used

to carry dozens of people today It is just a couple of hours' boat

ride across the sea. The people taken back had

all crossed to Greece in recent weeks, but so many migrants have

been heading to Europe that the EU decided it needs new rules

to cope with that. It thinks that many of these

people could be quite safe staying in Turkey and so according

to the new rules anybody who can't prove that they need to stay

here in Europe faces being deported. protesting against that and the most

upset about it of all are of course They're now living in a detention

camp here on Lesbos and the ones I've been talking to say

they are very worried But if their request to stay

here in Europe on the island is rejected then they,

too, could soon be on ferries like that one

there and heading back to Turkey and we could see even

more serious protests. And if you want to know more

information online. A new set of stamps will be launched

today, celebrating the genius The ten stamps show quotes

from Shakespeare's writing and have been released to commemorate 400
