Good morning, I'm Ayshah with Monday's Newsround.

:00:00.:00:13.

There will be a minute's silence later, after the attack

:00:14.:00:17.

It happened in a part of the capital city called London Bridge.

:00:18.:00:23.

As you can see just behind me is the UK's tallest building and right next

:00:24.:00:41.

to it is London Bridge. Flags across London's most famous landmarks,

:00:42.:00:44.

including Buckingham Palace and the tower of London, which is just five

:00:45.:00:49.

minutes away, will be lowered to half-mast out of respect to those

:00:50.:00:53.

who lost their lives during Saturday's attack which happened

:00:54.:00:55.

just here. Here is everything we know so far.

:00:56.:00:57.

Today there are still lots of police officers out protecting

:00:58.:01:00.

the streets of London, but the city is trying

:01:01.:01:02.

It's after an attack on Saturday night when a white van drove

:01:03.:01:06.

into people on London Bridge in the south-east of the city.

:01:07.:01:09.

Some of the areas where it happened are still sealed off

:01:10.:01:11.

After crashing, three men ran from the van and attacked people

:01:12.:01:21.

Seven people died and many more were injured.

:01:22.:01:25.

Police were there within a few minutes and the three

:01:26.:01:27.

The emergency services have been praised for how quickly

:01:28.:01:31.

they responded and the way they helped as many

:01:32.:01:33.

The Prime Minister and the London Mayor thanked them

:01:34.:01:38.

There have been messages of support from other cities around the world.

:01:39.:01:43.

In Paris, the lights of the Eiffel Tower were turned off,

:01:44.:01:46.

and in Berlin a union flag was displayed.

:01:47.:01:49.

Today, police investigations into what happened will continue,

:01:50.:01:51.

but across London people will be going back to school and work.

:01:52.:02:05.

So the police have still closed off some areas where the attack took

:02:06.:02:10.

place around London Bridge and Borough Market, but if you look

:02:11.:02:14.

behind me you can see many people walking on London Bridge, which has

:02:15.:02:20.

been reopened, many people going to school, getting coffee, jogging, so

:02:21.:02:24.

London, it looks like Tom is going back to normal. The capital will

:02:25.:02:28.

hold a minute's silence at 11am. Back to you.

:02:29.:02:30.

And don't forget if you are upset by this story or by anything

:02:31.:02:35.

you hear in the news, you can go over to Newsround

:02:36.:02:37.

online where there's loads of advice and help.

:02:38.:02:39.

Last night some of the biggest pop stars on the planet came together

:02:40.:02:43.

in Manchester to honour the victims of the Manchester Arena attack that

:02:44.:02:45.

It will be spoken about for all the right reasons.

:02:46.:02:56.

50,000 people, including many who were at Ariana Grande's first

:02:57.:02:59.

My dad said that he wanted me to have a good memory

:03:00.:03:07.

of the concert, so I wanted to come here so I could remember

:03:08.:03:10.

Lots of people have come to support all of the families.

:03:11.:03:16.

I feel very lucky to come to this concert.

:03:17.:03:20.

It's really special to me because we were there two weeks ago,

:03:21.:03:23.

and we were really lucky because we missed it by two minutes.

:03:24.:03:29.

I think it's really important to come here and show our support

:03:30.:03:32.

to those who may have lost their lives or were

:03:33.:03:35.

I'm looking forward to it being the best night of my life.

:03:36.:03:39.

Seeing all those people has been my dream for ages and ages.

:03:40.:03:46.

The atmosphere is amazing, just all the people,

:03:47.:03:48.

it's just going to be a really good day.

:03:49.:03:51.

# It might seem crazy, what I'm 'bout to say...

:03:52.:03:56.

# I've got the eye of the tiger, a fighter...

:03:57.:04:04.

But the person with the biggest cheer was Ariana Grande,

:04:05.:04:08.

who organised the charity concert to help raise money for the victims

:04:09.:04:11.

She appeared on stage with a number of different artists,

:04:12.:04:17.

It was an emotional but powerful experience.

:04:18.:04:27.

The spectacle, called the One Love Concert,

:04:28.:04:33.

will go down in history, where the planet's biggest stars

:04:34.:04:37.

and the people of Manchester came together to show that,

:04:38.:04:42.

despite what happened here two weeks ago, love conquers all.

:04:43.:04:44.

# I promise after that, I'll let you go #.

:04:45.:04:55.

In just three days, adults in the UK will be voting

:04:56.:04:59.

in the general election to decide who runs the country.

:05:00.:05:01.

Newsround Online is the place to go for everything you need to know.

:05:02.:05:04.

If you want to know more about the fantastic election,

:05:05.:05:09.

Are you going to help me out with my big plan to be an MP?

:05:10.:05:26.

And it's usually formed by the party that wins the election.

:05:27.:05:31.

That's all for now from the team this morning.

:05:32.:05:50.

Newsround will be back right here at 4.20pm this afternoon.

:05:51.:05:54.
