Good morning Newsrounders, you're with me, Hayley,

this morning, and this is what I've got to start off your day.

The dogs helping to grow a forest.

And the United states celebrates it's independence day in style.

First up, it's a big day for the Brits at Wimbledon today

and Andy Murray will be back in action later - but what does it

take to make a Wimbledon champion twice over?

Some of you guys have been finding out.

We are the mini Murrays!

I'm Andy, nice to meet you.

Shall we hit a few balls together?

Wow!

That was bigger than me.

What is the best moment of your life so far?

Best moment of my life would be

when my daughter was born.

It ended up being a good year on the court, but yeah,

it was a better one off it for sure.

Who inspired you to play tennis, and what would your advice be

if someone wanted to be a tennis player

just like you?

I'd say my mum inspired me, and my brother,

to play tennis.

She used to play when she was younger and she really

coached me and my brother until we were like nine or ten years old.

Best piece of advice I could give to anyone

wanting to play tennis would be

to have fun when you are a kid, enjoy playing,

and to listen to your coach.

There we go, that's excellent!

Whose cooking do you prefer?

Your Gran's, Mum's or wife's?

PS, I have tasted your Gran's cooking at the Dunblane tennis

courts, and it is delicious.

HE LAUGHS Lucky you!

That's a really tough question.

My Gran has got a lot of experience getting so I would

say it'd just, JUST be her, but my wife is also a good, good cook.

It isn't my mum, she would definitely be

third on the list.

As well as Andy Murray, there are lots of Brits in action

today at Wimbledon.

They include include British women's number one, Johanna Konta,

as well as Heather Watson.

Also playing are Aljaz Bedene and Kyle Edmund who'll be

trying his best today in the men's double.

To football now and Scottish side Rangers had a pretty embarrassing

defeat in their Europa League qualifier last night.

They lost 2-0 to Luxembourg's Progres Niederkorn,

they're a team that had never won a match in European competition

before and had only managed one goal in their 13 previous games -

so not great for Rangers!

Next, to Chile in South America, where forest fires devastated

the land last year.

Well, people there have come up with a new way

to replant the forest, and it sounds barking mad.

There aren't many dogs who'd say no to a nice long run through the

forest but these guys aren't doing this for fun, oh no!

They're actually happening to plant the

trees and flowers.

Forest fires ripped through parts of central

Chile last year, burning down trees and scorching the land.

But since March, these border collies,

called Summer, Olivia and Daz, had been helping it to recover.

So how does it work?

Well, the dogs wear a special satchel on their collar,

filled with seeds.

When they run, the seeds get spread across the land.

TRANSLATION: We could do it ourselves, but we can't do as much.

We can walk around three kilometres per day but not much more.

The dogs, however, can travel 30 or 40 kilometres

in one outing!

The first signs of life are returning to the forest,

and people there are hoping that in a few years it will have

completely recovered.

Guys, you've done a paw-some job!

Say hello to the very latest space robot.

It's hoping to find out what other planets are made of.

But instead of being tested in space, this robot is learning

on the side of a volcano - Mount Etna - in Italy.

And from one kind of space adventure to...

erm... another.

This takeaway has gone where few takeaways have gone before -

into outer space!

It's one small step for man, and one giant leap for fried food!

Ricky's got this.

Is it a bird?

Is it a plane?

Is it a pattie and chips?

Well, yes.

History has been made by a chip shop in Hull

who have sent this lot into space.

The pattie is made from fried mashed potato and was sent to the

edge of the Earth's atmosphere, attached to a weather balloon.

Thankfully, it's now safely back on Earth.

We wouldn't want that falling out of the sky

all of a spudden!

But it's not the first time like this has happened.

Back in 2016, scientists sent a meat and potato

pie to space from Wigan in Greater Manchester.

It might sound silly, but pot-aters's going to hate.

It was party time in the USA yesterday,

it was the 4th of July which means it was their Independence day -

the day all Americans celebrate being their own country

with their own president.

Needless to say there were a lot of fireworks!!

Finally it wasn't just fireworks that Americans

couldnt get enough of - hot dogs were high on the menu too.

As defending champion Joey Chestnut won his tenth title by downing

72 frankfurters in ten minutes!!

It's all part of the annual hot-dog eating contest

in Comey Island, New York.
