Monday's top stories. This is what's on the way. The lost penguin

who has been sent back in the right direction. And what's up with

But first, how The Saturdays are trying to stop people treating dogs

like fashion accessories. They've teamed up with the animal charity,

the Dogs Trust, who say more pets are being dumped after people

realise how much work it takes to look after them. 126,000 unwanted

dogs were picked up in the past year. That's almost 350 every

single day. That's why the girls want fans to understand that

puppies are more than just handbag Paris Hilton is famous for being

famous. Along with celebrity mates, she is usually seen out with her

posh pooch. Celebrities are being blamed for the number of people

buying Dogs for the wrong reasons. Animal charities are trying to make

people aware that even smaller dogs need a lot of attention and care.

But Dogs Trust say they have noticed a big increase in the

number of small dogs being handed in to them. A little dog does not

want to be stuffed into a handbag all day long. No -- a dog should be

walked and care -- cared for. cannot imagine Angelina been in a

handbag. She fidgets. But is the problem. Little dogs are as much of

an effort as bigger dogs. Saturdays a fronting a new campaign

to make people aware that all dogs are a big commitment. They have

their own dogs so they know what they are talking about. If you buy

close before, I just can't quite believe it. Now it's a week since

Hurricane Irene battered parts of America. It was downgraded to a

tropical storm, but still caused a far bit of damage. And now the area

has been hit by more bad weather. Tropical Storm Lee is hammering the

country's gulf coast, causing flash floods. And if that's not bad

enough, people on the east coast have been told there could be

another hurricane - this one's called Katia - on the way. Tropical

Storm Lee hit America's Gulf Coast over the weekend, hurling rain and

winds of 45 miles an hour through the southern state of Louisiana.

Floods ruined homes and left thousands without electricity. They

have had so much rain that many It is not the first time people

here have experienced a natural disaster. Six years ago, they were

hit by Hurricane Katrina, which caused massive destruction. After

Katrina, they spent billions of dollars on ways to protect the area

from bad weather so are coping better than before. Over on the

east coast of America, people are still clearing up after Tropical

Storm Irene tore through. President Barack Obama has visited to offer

his support. The main message I have is the entire country is

behind you. We are going to make sure we provide all the resources

necessary in order to help these communities it rebuild. But people

here were today told to brace themselves for yet another big

storm - Hurricane Katia - which is swirling over the Atlantic. It is

hurricane season at the moment and there are usually about 12 major

storms at this time. But this has been a difficult year. Katia is

already the 11th storm and they're We're used to seeing Rafael Nadal

leaping about on a tennis court or punching the air when he has won a

match. We have never seen him doing this. The world number two was

talking to journalists after a win at the US Open when he got a bad

case of cramp in his right leg. The pain was so bad he slid off his

chair and onto the floor. After 15 minutes of treatment, the defending

champion came back and finished the news conference. And do you

remember Happy Feet? He's the Emperor penguin who shot to fame

after getting lost and turning up on a beach in New Zealand. Well,

after recovering from his adventure, Happy Feet is now back in the

freezing water where he belongs. But, this time, with a tracking

gadget attached to him. Most of us dream of a beach holiday to soak up

a bit of sun but, for Happy Feet, washing up on a beach in New

Zealand meant something had gone very wrong. Emperor penguins are

usually found thousands of miles away in the Antarctic but it is

thought Happy Feet took a wrong turn while hunting for food at sea

Without the snow he is used to, he started eating the sand which made

him really sick. Vets at Wellington Zoo stepped in to help by operating

to remove all the gunk from his Since then, he's been nursed back

to health on a bed of ice and a diet of fish milkshakes. Happy Feet

soon made a speedy recovery. And before long, it was time to say

goodbye and start his epic journey home. But not before being fitted

with a tracker device so zoo staff can keep up with his progress. It

is too far to swim the whole way, so Happy Feet got a lift on a boat

for four days before making a splash - albeit a little

Now Happy Feet should be swimming south to get home but, according to

his tracker, he started going the wrong way. No need to panic yet

though as apparently penguins sometimes zigzag as they feed. To

has just started a long swim - comedian David Walliams. After

pretending to back out because it was too cold, he braved the murky

depths of the River Thames today to start his latest charity challenge

- swimming 140 miles to raise cash for Sport Relief. He set off from
