Morning, guys, Ricky here with your Monday Newsround.

:00:00.:00:00.

The lights go out to help stargazers The Paraathlete going for medals

:00:00.:00:13.

Let's start this morning with some great nature news.

:00:14.:00:31.

Giant pandas are officially no longer an endangered species.

:00:32.:00:34.

After years of work by conservationists,

:00:35.:00:37.

Pandas now fall into the "vulnerable" category -

:00:38.:00:40.

The increase in numbers is being put down to special breeding programmes

:00:41.:00:48.

OK, time for a quick round-up of some of the football stories,

:00:49.:00:57.

and it's been a busy weekend for the home nations.

:00:58.:00:59.

England have been celebrating a 1-0 win over Slovakia in their first

:01:00.:01:02.

It was Sam Allardyce's first game as manager and it was only

:01:03.:01:06.

in the very last minute of extra time that Adam Lallana

:01:07.:01:08.

A better result for Scotland, though.

:01:09.:01:13.

They thrashed Malta 5-1 in their world cup qualifier,

:01:14.:01:16.

with Robert Snodgrass netting three goals.

:01:17.:01:19.

The win puts Scotland top of Group F ahead of England on goal difference.

:01:20.:01:25.

But Northern Ireland had to settle for a draw in their first

:01:26.:01:28.

They finished 0-0 against the Czech Republic.

:01:29.:01:37.

The Paralympic Games get underway this Wednesday and Britain

:01:38.:01:39.

is sending more than 260 athletes to Rio to compete.

:01:40.:01:42.

One of Paralympics GB's brightest stars is Kadeena Cox.

:01:43.:01:45.

She's not only aiming to win medals on the athletics track

:01:46.:01:48.

The BBC's Disability Correspondent Nikki Fox has been to meet her.

:01:49.:02:01.

Kadeena Cox is aiming to do something very few have achieved,

:02:02.:02:04.

win four gold medals across two sports,

:02:05.:02:06.

cycling and athletics, in

:02:07.:02:08.

I was doing well in both and when it came to making a

:02:09.:02:24.

I might not be in this position in four

:02:25.:02:27.

years' time so I took the opportunity.

:02:28.:02:29.

But she hasn't always competed in disability sport.

:02:30.:02:31.

Back in 2012, just four years ago, her

:02:32.:02:34.

dream was to compete in Rio as an Olympian.

:02:35.:02:37.

Here she is racing in the

:02:38.:02:38.

100 metres at the British University Championships,

:02:39.:02:42.

the first event held at the Olympic Stadium in London.

:02:43.:02:45.

I was diagnosed with a stroke in May 2014 and MS in September.

:02:46.:02:57.

My body didn't quite do what I wanted it to

:02:58.:03:00.

I struggled going from being an 11 second runner to being a 14

:03:01.:03:07.

She dealt with it, becoming world champion in both

:03:08.:03:12.

What is the difference between Kadeena the athlete

:03:13.:03:24.

The athlete is supercool and looks supercool, whereas Kadeena at

:03:25.:03:27.

Multiple sclerosis fluctuates, so Kadeena

:03:28.:03:32.

which means it will be checked which sport she competes in.

:03:33.:03:42.

She will be up against faster athletes at

:03:43.:03:45.

Rio, but this is not something which will faze her,

:03:46.:03:48.

who in just two years can cross the line from Olympic

:03:49.:03:52.

hopeful to multiple Paralympic champion.

:03:53.:03:57.

And you can keep up to date with all the action on Newsround online.

:04:04.:04:18.

Next up to a story we told you about last Friday.

:04:19.:04:20.

The giant wooden replica of 17th century London went up in flames

:04:21.:04:23.

to mark the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London.

:04:24.:04:26.

Crowds gathered around the River Thames to watch the 120

:04:27.:04:28.

The fire in 1666 raged for four days, destroying most of the city,

:04:29.:04:33.

which was made almost entirely of wood.

:04:34.:04:38.

Stunning starry scenes like this can be hard to come by if you live

:04:39.:04:41.

But today 17 new "dark sky" spots in the UK have been announced.

:04:42.:04:46.

They're areas protected from light pollution and it's hoped

:04:47.:04:49.

the new dark sky spots will help give more people the chance

:04:50.:04:52.

It's back to school for many people this week.

:04:53.:04:58.

Some of you will be starting at a brand new school -

:04:59.:05:01.

So we asked a few pupils in Scotland's capital Edinburgh,

:05:02.:05:06.

who started last week, for their top tips and advice.

:05:07.:05:18.

I feel nervous and excited about coming here. I would say just be

:05:34.:05:41.

scared and worried because I was the only one from my school, but my

:05:42.:05:45.

advice is, don't be scared if you are late or get lost, just know the

:05:46.:05:52.

teacher would shout at you, don't worry. My advice is, be yourself and

don't be afraid to say hello. And check out this amazing drone
