First up, the last orca show will take place

at SeaWorld, in San Diego, in America this weekend.

The company has faced a lot of criticism over the last few years

about the treatment and welfare of its killer whales.

Martin has been finding out more.

Graceful, powerful and intelligent, we're talking about orcas,

or killer whales as they're better known.

For many years these whales have performed in shows across America

at amusement parks run by the company SeaWorld.

But, not anymore.

In 2015 Californian authorities banned SeaWorld from breeding

Orcas in captivity.

And after a lot of pressure from celebrities and animal rights

groups, in 2016 SeaWorld announced that they were putting an end

to killer whale performance shows in their parks.

This weekend marks the final show at one of those parks

in San Diego in California.

SeaWorld currently has killer whale shows at two other parks in America,

in Texas and Florida, but they will be gradually phased out too.

Instead of performing tricks, the whales will now be used to help

teach people more about orca life.

Animal rights groups have praised SeaWorld for making positive steps

in the right direction, but some still think more can be

done to help protect the animals' welfare.

Some are suggesting the whales should be moved to sanctuaries

by the sea where they can live in an environment closer to that

of their natural homes in the wild.

The fight for killer whale rights seems set

to continue into the future, but things are definitely changing

for these underwater giants.

How's this for an epic mission?

William Lindesay, from England, has filmed the entire Great Wall

of China from the air, by drone - all 5,500 miles of it.

He's been obsessed with the wonder of the world, since seeing it

in a school atlas as a child.

His travels have taken him all over north China and even to Mongolia.

And from the sight of one giant monument to the sound of another.

The noises of Stonehenge from 3000 years ago has been recreated

in digital form using technology made for computer games

and virtual reality.

Visitors to the famous site in the south west of England will be

able to experience the sounds from the time the stone circle

was intact, which are thought to have been an important part

of Stonehenge when it was built.

If you've been missing The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing,

fear not because this weekend sees the launch of two Saturday night

singing contests - new show Let It Shine

and ITV's version of The Voice.

But with all these talent shows hitting our screens,

we wanted to know if you are still interested in watching.

Christmas is over, January is here and that sees the start

of a new BBC One singing show - but not The Voice.

After five years on the channel that's moved

to a new home on rival ITV.

The BBC has gone for its own big new music programme,

with Gary Barlow leading the search

for the cast of a Take That musical, in Let It Shine.

Both shows will go head-to-head in a battle to dominate

Saturday night telly.

But reality singing shows have had a bit of a difficult time recently.

December's X Factor final was the least watched

in the show's history.

And last year's The Voice saw viewers vanishing.

So, what do you guys think about the new shows about to start?

I would probably prefer the new show Let It Shine because I think it's

time for a new show.

Some of these shows are getting quite repetitive.

You see the same things.

This new show is a new concept so it will be a lot better.

It's happened with a lot of shows, like Strictly, I used to love,

Britain's Got Talent, I used to love.

Now, maybe it's because I'm getting older, and getting bored and I end

up just going off and watching something else on my phone.

I'm not too bothered about the TV shows but I would rather watch

movies like Harry Potter.

I think I might watch Let It Shine because I've already watched

The Voice so we know the theme of what it will be about.

The Voice, it's been on for a while, sometimes it can get repetitive.

I think both of them will be great because I love the spinning chairs

on The Voice.

I like that new show will be showing something different

than what we've already got.

I think The Voice is a good show because they don't judge

people on their looks, they judge people on how they sing.

I think I would prefer to watch the new show, Let It Shine,

because it is something different and I might not get bored

by something I might have seen a few years ago.

I'm going to watch both of them because they both look good.

An injured baby elephant in Thailand has learnt to walk

again, with the help of a special swimming pool.

The 5-month-old, called Clear Sky, is the first elephant to get this

kind of water therapy, after she lost her foot in a trap.

Despite most elephants loving the water, she was a little nervous.

But her vet says she's already showing signs of improvement.

A flood of plastic eggs containing tiny toys has been swept ashore

the German island of Langeoog after a fierce storm.

The eggs seem to have come from a container

lost by a cargo ship.

Local children have been helping collect the unexpected

treasure before it becomes a hazard for wildlife.
