Hi, I'm Hayley, and here's your Saturday lunchtime headlines.

:00:00.:00:09.

The president of the US heads to Stonehenge.

:00:10.:00:18.

And the giant slugs said to be invading Britain.

:00:19.:00:20.

First to Ukraine in Eastern Europe, where a ceasefire has stopped

:00:21.:00:25.

the fighting between government forces and pro-Russia rebels.

:00:26.:00:31.

There had been fighting in the east of the country

:00:32.:00:35.

since April because some people there want the eastern parts of

:00:36.:00:39.

But on Friday the two sides called a truce and so far there have been

:00:40.:00:48.

Leaders say they now want to work towards finding

:00:49.:00:51.

And if you want to know more about how the fighting in Ukraine started,

:00:52.:00:56.

there's loads to find out in our guide on the website.

:00:57.:01:02.

Next to the American island state of Hawaii where lava flowing

:01:03.:01:05.

from a big volcano is threatening people's homes.

:01:06.:01:08.

Officials have declared a state of emergency on Hawaii's Big Island,

:01:09.:01:11.

so they can get people living there, to safety.

:01:12.:01:15.

The volcano's been erupting continuously for more than 30 years,

:01:16.:01:17.

but back in June this year lava began coming

:01:18.:01:21.

No-one's been hurt and the authorities say they will keep

:01:22.:01:28.

an eye on where the lava's flowing to make sure everyone is safe.

:01:29.:01:31.

But you might not expect to bump into one of the most powerful

:01:32.:01:39.

The president of the United States finished a busy week in Wales when

:01:40.:01:56.

he decided to take a look around Stonehenge yesterday. This family

:01:57.:02:05.

where sightseeing and it became more about the self these. Later they

:02:06.:02:14.

said the president was awesome. The president said seeing Stonehenge has

:02:15.:02:18.

ticked one thing of his lifetime to do list. Spectacular, isn't it?

:02:19.:02:26.

Two women in America have described the moment they came face-to-face

:02:27.:02:29.

They had been out kayaking off the coast of Massachussetts to

:02:30.:02:33.

take pictures of seals, when one of them was knocked

:02:34.:02:36.

into the water by the big fish, who took a big bite out of their kayak.

:02:37.:02:39.

Both of them got away unharmed, but were shaken by the experience.

:02:40.:02:45.

It came directly out of the water, underneath the boat, watched her

:02:46.:02:48.

I was talking to her, and next thing I am in the water

:02:49.:02:55.

and I see a shark as close as you are to me biting my kayak.

:02:56.:02:58.

It was a dark grey, pointy nose, big teeth, big eye,

:02:59.:03:01.

To Formula One now and the Italian Grand Prix takes place this

:03:02.:03:08.

weekend, with the massive rivalry between Britain's Lewis Hamilton

:03:09.:03:12.

and team mate Nico Rosberg, still the big talking point.

:03:13.:03:14.

Qualifying for the race starts in about an hour's time, that's live on

:03:15.:03:17.

BBC One - these are pictures from the final practice session this

:03:18.:03:20.

morning where Lewis Hamilton was fastest, and Rosberg had to pull out

:03:21.:03:23.

The two Mercedes drivers are battling it out for the world

:03:24.:03:31.

championship, and with just a few races left, Nico Rosberg's

:03:32.:03:33.

Next - between them, top swimmers Ellie Simmonds and

:03:34.:03:36.

Ollie Hynd both won gold medals at the recent European Championships

:03:37.:03:39.

And this month they're trying to get more people to take up

:03:40.:03:45.

the sport through a series of fun swimming relays across Britain.

:03:46.:03:48.

The Newsround audience know you for getting medal after medal.

:03:49.:03:56.

You got a gold at the Commonwealth Games and

:03:57.:03:58.

Very busy but I have achieved all my goals so I'm really happy with

:03:59.:04:09.

To be this good you guys must really put in the hours in the pool, what

:04:10.:04:17.

For me I am in the pool eight or nine times a week for two hours.

:04:18.:04:25.

Logging between 40,000 and 50,000 metres.

:04:26.:04:27.

I train eight sessions a week and on top of that we have to do the gym,

:04:28.:04:31.

all the support groups, psychology, biomechanics things like that,

:04:32.:04:42.

A lot of hours and effort but then the outcome is competitions

:04:43.:04:48.

want to know what top tips you have for them about how to make it?

:04:49.:05:04.

There are loads of sacrifices that you're going to have to give but

:05:05.:05:06.

just find out what you enjoy the most as and where your talent lies.

:05:07.:05:10.

Just go out there and train or do whatever you want and enjoy it.

:05:11.:05:14.

It is not easy but the outcome is worth it in the end.

:05:15.:05:17.

You meet so many amazing people so they don't have to be Olympic

:05:18.:05:20.

champions, just taking part is important as well.

:05:21.:05:23.

Now to a warning of giant slimy proportions.

:05:24.:05:25.

Massive slugs up to 6 inches long - that's the size of my hand -

:05:26.:05:29.

are taking over Britain's green spaces, eating plants,

:05:30.:05:31.

It's thought the beasties have been carried over

:05:32.:05:36.

They are munching plants in people's gardens in south

:05:37.:05:41.

and central England and the normal slug pellets gardeners

:05:42.:05:44.

It's hoped they will be stopped by the cold weather in the winter - but

:05:45.:05:52.

if you see any around then watch yourself - they're pretty slimy.

:05:53.:05:55.

That's all from me, Newsround's back just before 2:00pm.

:05:56.:05:57.

In the meantime, check out the website to find out

:05:58.:05:59.

all about the gigantic dinosaur the size of seven T-Rexes.

:06:00.:06:02.
