Hi, guys. I'm Leah. He's Ore and you're with Newsround.

We've been busy all day sorting through the day's biggest stories,

and we've lined up some of this for you.

Including my Wild 5 mission to clean up our beaches...

And Harry's big Jamaican jolly looks like fun, but what's he

really doing there? First to the war in Afghanistan and

the news today that six British soldiers have been killed there.

They were on patrol in the south of the country, when their armoured

vehicle was hit by an explosion. All their families have been told.

It brings the number of British troops killed during the war there

to more than 400. British soldiers have been fighting

in Afghanistan since 2001. They're among the international troops in

the country working to keep out a terrorist group called the Taliban.

In recent months the numbers of British troops being killed in the

conflict had slowed down - until last night.

Six soldiers had been on patrol in one of the military's most hi-tech

tanks, a Warrior, when they were hit by a blast. The soldiers were

in a very heavily-armoured vehicle. It's called a Warrior, caterpillar

tracks, weighs 20 tonnes. They went off the highway, standard procedure,

and were moving through a sparsely populated area, and were hit by an

explosion. It must have been huge because it killed everyone inside.

The Warrior is built to be tough. It has stroox it can go offroad to

difficult place and is armed by a cannon as its main weapon. Last

year I went out to Afghanistan to see what life is like for troops

there and the kind of protection they have. Our equipment is amazing,

and the vehicles we have are so well protected now. You could very

easily drive around everywhere and not suffer too much in the way of

casualties. That's why this news has come as such a shock. Many

people have been paying tribute to the dead soldiers. This is a

desperately sad day for our country and desperately sad, of course, for

the families concerned. It is a reminder of the huge price that

we're paying for the work we're doing in Afghanistan.

The soldiers had only been in Afghanistan for less than a month.

All British combat troops are set to withdraw in the next two years,

but today's news is a reminder that the fighting is far from over.

OK. Yesterday he was racing the fastest man in the world and now

Prince Harry's been using his feet to show off his moves in Jamaica.

The Prince was wearing a pair of blue suede shoes and joined in the

dancing at a youth centre in Kingston.

Harry is on an official visit to the country as part of the Queen's

Diamond Jubilee celebrations. I think that dance move is what we

call the bogle. He's not really doing it justice!

Yesterday we told you about a whale that had washed up on a beach in

Skegness and the big mission to remove it.

Sadly, it had died when it appeared on the sand. It's now finally been

removed after being lifted onto a lorry.

Plastic bags, cotton-buds and even a kitchen sink. Not my shopping

list but just some of the junk that washes up on our beaches everyday

across the UK. The problem is so bad over the last eight years beach

litter has increased 135%. So today on Wild 5 coastal I head to the

A seal caught up in fishing nets, a turtle tangled in plastic, and it's

all because of this - tonnes and tonnes of rubbish - not great to

look at, but examples of how our mess is swamping our coastline and

washing up on our beaches. On some beaches around the UK, the Marine

Conservation Society say for every step we take, there's at least two

pieces of litter. There's concerns that some of our best loved marine

wildlife could be under threat because of it. We all like to go to

the beach on holiday. On the beach we might leave a bit of litter

there, so a lot of it does come from the public. It also comes from

shipping, so ropes and nets can be lost at sea, and also from fly-

tipping as well, so people dumping things on the beach like, I don't

know, old tyres and things like that that they shouldn't really be

leaving there. This is why beach pollution makes it on to the Wild 5

card - plastic litter on beaches has increased 135% since 1994. The

good news is beach pollution is entirely preventable. These guy

from the Marine Conservation Society's Beach Watch Campaign are

making sure litter doesn't stick around here very long. Every month

they pick a beach they're concerned about and head out to clean it up.

And today they've got me as a helping hand.

I mean, the frustrating thing - we have just found this bottle top. We

have found loads of glass. We can do our best to clean this area, but

when the tide comes in, it will bring in a whole heap of new

rubbish, and that's just really lame.

To show you how big the problem is, this is how much rubbish was found

inside the stomach of a beached Minke whale. As you can see, it has

a massive impact. That whale had obviously eaten all of this rubbish

found out at sea. Nobody is saying you shouldn't have fun at the beach,

but the next time you're here, by jumping your junk in one of these,

it goes a long way to protecting our wildlife in our seas and on our

beaches. Thank you very much. What have we

to find out why harbour seals are declining.

Bosses at Rangers Football Club have been meeting to try and sort

out the Scottish side's money problems. A deal to clear their

debts fell through yesterday and it looks like players will now need to

take huge pay cuts. Some reports say the club's biggest

stars are being asked to lose a massive chunk of their wage. Two

players have already left the club because of it. It's all because

Rangers owes �50 million in tax. Here's one to get jumpy about!

A two-day frog conference kicked off in Cambridgeshire today.

A whole load of experts will try and work out how to cut the number

of frogs and toads killed each year crossing roads. They're looking at

the possibilities of using toad- crossings and toad-tunnels to keep

them safe. Want to keep those toads safe!! A few years ago that might

have been what I would like, but I am trying to cut down on the

calories. Finally, imagine being able to have

a piece of cake whenever you wanted? Cake lovers in America now

can after this cupcake vending machine was installed by the owner
