ready for the launch of the new series of Doctor Who.

Doctor Who fans. The new Doctor, Peter Capaldi, kicked off a

whistle-stop world tour in Cardiff to start the countdown to the start

of the new series, in just 16 days' time. Fans flooded the streets to

catch a glimpse, and Hayley caught up with the man himself.

people and it is nice. How is it fitting in? Fine. He's a fantastic

character. It's great to come to work every day and fight monsters

and find yourself on alien planets and meeting historical characters.

It's been a wonderful experience. It is funny you say, what is it like

stepping into his shoes, because I've stepped into Matt Smith's

shoes, physically. Where I've stepped into Matt Smith's

smelly? No, not at all, and I had to wear his tress terse because of the

regeneration. What can we expect in the new size? There are quite a lot

of new monsters. It is quite scary, this series. Perhaps scarier than

it's been for a few years. There are this series. Perhaps scarier than

some old monsters who come back and are very threatening. There's a lot

of fun between the Doctor and Clara. Clearly they are quite different,

I'm different from Matt and Gemma who plays Clara finds it probably

more difficult to get on with this Doctor but they are still

more difficult to get on with this on each other. They have a very deep

and affectionate bond. You've got 16 days to wait until the start of the

new series, but Newsround will be keeping you up to date with all the

gossip until then. In other news today, Prince

William's announced he's getting a job as an Air Ambulance pilot. He

previously gave up his role with RAF search and rescue to take on more

official royal duties and tours. But after a year doing that, he says

he's excited about beginning his training and saving lives. He's

decided to donate all his wages to charity and could start early next

year if he passes all of his exams. So what will he be doing? His job

will be to react to 999 calls as required by the ambulance control.

Anything where there's an emergency medical situation.

And never mind maths and English, imagine being taught fishing in

class. A school in Bolton, near Manchester, has become one of the

first in the country to make fishing part of what they teach. Newsrounder

Kelisha checked it out and asked her teacher why it's important. Hi, I'm

Kelisha and I'm actually fishing at school. Sir, why do we learn about

fishing at school? I think it teaches you things that we can't

teach you in the class radio. Things like patience, a for example, no

matter how much you get angry or shout at that fishing rod, you still

won't catch a fish. You can apply those rules to your studies inside.

taking the pic. Normally, people have to pay to re-use pictures like

this, but the website, Wikimedia, is refusing because they say the monkey

took the picture and not the professional. The photographer is

angry and wants it taken down. See
