in 1946 to rehabilitate visually impaired World War II veterans. It

is the only sport designed specifically for the Blind and

partially sighted. The aim of the game is to get this pretty heavy

ball, weighing over one kilogram, into the opposing team's net whilst

wearing a blindfold. Because the players can't see, they have to use

their ears to listen to this sound. These are bells inside ball, which

helped them to track where it is. They also feel for markers on the

floor to know where they are. This is a 14-year-old Amelia, she

couldn't see very well but is really good at goal ball, and has been

spotted by Great Britain's Paralympic team. When I got the

e-mail that night, I didn't get to sleep, I was not excited. It may be

realised if I tried, I could do it. How does she feel about becoming a

possible Paralympics start of the future? It feels like my dream would

have come true, because that's all I've ever wanted to do. There are
