They're hard to see

but you can probably find them

in your bathroom at home.

I'm talking about microbeads.

The UK has just banned them

but what exactly are they?

Microbeads small and five

millimetres, roughly a grain of

sand, used in some gels and

toothpaste. But the United Kingdom

has banned products making them,

they said that Trojans end up in

rivers, harming sea life. Just one

shower ten later 100,000 plastic

particles going into the ocean. Many

companies have already taken steps

to remove them, and although making

them has been banned, they are not

going to be removed from shops

completely until later this year.

Environmental campaigners hope that

a worldwide ban will soon follow.

You may have got some

of these for Christmas -

toys that work with Bluetooth

or wifi.

But experts say some

are easy to hack, and that

could be a big problem.

the Furby has said that they take

the privacy seriously and are

went swimming one day...

And ended up stuck in a water drain!

Yep, it's a true story

but with a happy ending...

The ducklings on Australia's Gold

Coast were rescued by firefighters

who shimmied down the drain

and scooped them up by hand.

They were then reunited

with their mum and waddled off

to a safe water spot nearby.
