Hey, folks. Martin here, and it's your final Newsround of the day. | :00:00. | :00:08.
Coming up: A new portrait of the Queen is unveiled in New Zealand. | :00:09. | :00:11.
And the amazing time-lapse footage of Scotland's newest landmark. | :00:12. | :00:20.
First up, we're talking Manchester United, a football team that have | :00:21. | :00:24.
been the best in the country for 20 years but not at the moment. They | :00:25. | :00:27.
currently sit seventh in the league and were knocked out of the | :00:28. | :00:31.
Champions League last night. They've got fans all over the world, and we | :00:32. | :00:34.
know loads of you support them as well. But if their bad form | :00:35. | :00:39.
continues, will we soon be seeing less Man Utd shirts in the | :00:40. | :00:42.
playground? In the past, the teams with the most fans were usually the | :00:43. | :00:47.
most successful on the pitch. Back in the 1970s and '80s, Liverpool | :00:48. | :00:50.
dominated football, and lots of kids supported them. Then, from the | :00:51. | :00:55.
1990s, it was Manchester United's turn. Last year, they won a | :00:56. | :01:00.
record-breaking 20th league title. For Manchester United, this season | :01:01. | :01:03.
hasn't gone to plan. They currently sit seventh in the Premier League, | :01:04. | :01:07.
and last night they were knocked out of the Champions League. So will | :01:08. | :01:10.
Manchester United fans be changing their shirts to another club? Some | :01:11. | :01:17.
of the kids that go to this school in Wrexham in Wales don't have a | :01:18. | :01:20.
local Premier League team to follow so support Manchester United as well | :01:21. | :01:25.
as the local club. United are still a good team, but they're not doing | :01:26. | :01:29.
as well as Liverpool, people might want to go to success. If my friends | :01:30. | :01:34.
switched from Manchester United to another team, I'd be very | :01:35. | :01:38.
disappointed in them. I like to support Man U and Chelsea. But | :01:39. | :01:41.
football fans don't always support a team just because they're a success. | :01:42. | :01:44.
Some families have supported the same club for generations regardless | :01:45. | :01:49.
of the results. However, with Liverpool back at the top of the | :01:50. | :01:52.
league, could we soon be seeing a lot more Gerrards and a lot less | :01:53. | :01:59.
Rooneys on the back of shirts? Over on the web, Hashil told us: | :02:00. | :02:12.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have unveiled a new portrait of the | :02:13. | :02:18.
Queen. Watch out for flashes here. They revealed the picture at an | :02:19. | :02:22.
event in New Zealand as part of their tour of the country. In the | :02:23. | :02:25.
painting, the Queen is shown wearing a silver brooch in the shape of a | :02:26. | :02:29.
fern, which is the emblem of New Zealand. | :02:30. | :02:32.
Finally, check out this time-lapse video of Scotland's newest landmark, | :02:33. | :02:36.
the Kelpies, being built. The 30-metre-high horse structures can | :02:37. | :02:40.
be found in Falkirk, and the film of them being constructed is going to | :02:41. | :02:43.
be shown at a festival in America as part of a week-long celebration of | :02:44. | :02:51.
Scotland. That's all from me. Nel's back on | :02:52. | :02:55.
the Newsround sofa bright and early in the morning. | :02:56. | :02:58. |
