Hello, it's Hayley here with Newsround on TV and Online

:00:00.:00:00.

I'll be speaking to the showjumper with big ambitions.

:00:00.:00:14.

First to a classroom with a difference.

:00:15.:00:27.

Pupils at one school in Bradford have been taking part in a special

:00:28.:00:32.

experiment to help them keep fit and healthy.

:00:33.:00:35.

Can you spot the difference in this classroom?

:00:36.:00:41.

Here in this class, it's all about...standing.

:00:42.:00:48.

It's part of an experiment to see if standing throughout the day,

:00:49.:00:51.

instead of sitting down, helps improve your health by keeping

:00:52.:00:53.

you more active, so how does it work?

:00:54.:00:58.

To go up, you push this lever and it goes up.

:00:59.:01:01.

To go down, you hold the lever and you push on the top of the desk.

:01:02.:01:05.

But you've got a chair here. So how does that work?

:01:06.:01:08.

When you're standing up, you've got to put your chair to one

:01:09.:01:19.

side and then you put it to the right height by making

:01:20.:01:22.

an L-shape with your elbow and adjusting the height.

:01:23.:01:24.

The results of the tests so far have shown students spend less time

:01:25.:01:27.

What do these guys think of their standing desks?

:01:28.:01:30.

They are more relaxing than when we had the normal desks.

:01:31.:01:33.

They are really awesome because you can stand up or down

:01:34.:01:36.

on them so you don't have to just sit down all the time

:01:37.:01:39.

I think it's good to stand up because you get exercise and you get

:01:40.:01:43.

Standing up is exercise and sitting down is just boring.

:01:44.:01:47.

This class seem happy with them, but does standing really make that

:01:48.:01:55.

If you're standing up at your desk you're more likely to become a more

:01:56.:02:03.

active adult and stand more when you're a grown up as well,

:02:04.:02:07.

and we know that standing as an adult reduces the risk

:02:08.:02:09.

of things like type II diabetes, heart disease and of being

:02:10.:02:13.

overweight and obese when you're an adult.

:02:14.:02:16.

The stand-up sit-down desks are popular with this class

:02:17.:02:19.

and researchers hope to bring their idea to other schools

:02:20.:02:22.

Next we're talking about pocket money.

:02:23.:02:27.

New research has found that lots of you get it without doing

:02:28.:02:30.

Some people think it's a bad thing and pocket money is a good way

:02:31.:02:36.

So we want to know if you do have to do jobs or chores at home

:02:37.:02:41.

Do you think you should have to earn it?

:02:42.:02:44.

Let us know what you think on the Newsround website.

:02:45.:02:47.

CBBC's popular My Life series returns this month with seven

:02:48.:02:50.

new films featuring kids with amazing and inspiring stories.

:02:51.:02:54.

The first episode, Never Give Up, is the story of horse

:02:55.:02:57.

He has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder,

:02:58.:03:07.

but Kai won't let that stand in the way of his dream

:03:08.:03:10.

With his first ever competition looming Kai will finally get

:03:11.:03:13.

the chance to see if he has what it takes.

:03:14.:03:20.

With me now as Kai. First of all, tell me about show-jumping. What

:03:21.:03:31.

does it mean to you? A big inspiration for me to get into

:03:32.:03:36.

show-jumping was just seeing other people, because I came across a show

:03:37.:03:42.

that had horses in and I thought, oh, horses. I thought it was like

:03:43.:03:49.

one of those sitcoms and it ended up being a Championship sort of thing.

:03:50.:03:53.

I ended up watching that and thought this is pretty cool. I ended up

:03:54.:03:59.

picking that as my career but also because I like horses. It's not like

:04:00.:04:04.

a same sort of sport. It's different every time. So you have the horses

:04:05.:04:08.

you love but do different things every time. That makes sense. You

:04:09.:04:16.

have got ADHD. What's that like? It is complicated and away. When I'm

:04:17.:04:21.

with my friends, I'm being a teenager, laughing, having fun,

:04:22.:04:26.

getting in trouble, at times, but going into the horse world, if you

:04:27.:04:37.

will, my behaviour changes because if I'm loud and noisy, the horse

:04:38.:04:43.

could get scared or spooked. Anything could happen. So you have

:04:44.:04:49.

to calm yourself down several horse stays calm. Is there a way of

:04:50.:04:54.

controlling your behaviour as well? Does it help you in that way? Kind

:04:55.:04:58.

of it helps at times to be able to take control of my behaviour. Thank

:04:59.:05:05.

you so much in an chatting us. That makes sense to me. Good luck with

:05:06.:05:07.

your competition. And you can see how Kai gets

:05:08.:05:10.

on in My Life - Never Give Up, next Wednesday at 5.15pm right

:05:11.:05:14.

here on CBBC. If you have a cat you might think

:05:15.:05:16.

that music helps them to relax. But one musician thinks that

:05:17.:05:19.

cats need their own type David Tie, who plays the cello,

:05:20.:05:22.

has come up with a piece of music specifically with our

:05:23.:05:26.

furry friends in mind. Now to the artist who uses spray

:05:27.:05:29.

paint to decorate wheelie bins. Brett Day from Suffolk works

:05:30.:05:32.

from the bottom of a shed and his work has become so popular

:05:33.:05:36.

he's now a big internet sensation with his videos like this one

:05:37.:05:39.

being seen by millions. His friends nickname him Binsy

:05:40.:05:41.

after famous graffiti artist Head over to the Newsround website

:05:42.:05:43.

to find out more about Frozen Ayshah will be back this afternoon

:05:44.:05:51.

at 4.20 with loads more

:05:52.:05:56.
