Good afternoon. You're watching Newsround. What a treat we have for

you. The boys are back in your town. Correct. We've got a show packed

with everything you need to know. The miners rescued after almost a

weekend underground. Find out why Hayley's been going through bins in

Cambridge. First, one of the most secretive countries in the world.

North Korea in ease Asia. country's hit the headlines for

plans to launch a rocket into space. The leaders say it's to get a

satellite up there, but others think that they are testing a

missile. The rocket's being fielded today and it's got the neighbours

very worried. It's really difficult to know what's going on inside

North Korea. The BBC's been let in for the launch, but it's rare for

foreign journalists to be allowed to report and what they can see is

very strictly controlled. North and south Korea were divided after the

Second World War, but it was the war between the two that shaped the

way we see the countries today. It happened in the early 1950s. The

north was supported by China, and the south by the US and Great

Britain, who wanted to stop the spread of commune nix. -- come nix.

Day-to-day life can look pretty weird from the outside. The

military play a big role in the running of the country and there

are a lot of marches, where everyone moves completely in unison.

People have to ask permission to travel around and things like TV

and what people can see on the internet are controlled by the

Government. All the parades are meant to make the country look

strong, but it's one of the poorest countries in the world and relies

on food aid from the UN. The country's been run by the same

family since the creation. They all tried to get Korean people to

worship them, even though most people have hard lives. Kim Jong Un

took over from his father Kim Jong- Il. He was the son of Kim Il Sung

who was name the Great Leader. This is to mark 100 years since his

birth. It should be launched in the next couple of days. Whatever

anyone else thinks, that is. Warnings of a massive tsunami in

Indonesia had been called off. People had been escaping after two

earthquakes in the Indian Ocean. earthquake caused a giant wave that

killed around 250,000 people. might remember the pictures of a

burning furniture store in London last summer. A man has been

punished for causing the blaze that sent it up in smoke. Gordon

Thompson has been sent to prison for eleven-and-a-half years.

nine miners in Peru are breathing a huge sigh of relief. They've been

rescued after a week underground. The accident has highlighted the

risks involved in mining and I've been finding out why people do it.

One by one, they emerged out of the ground. Some needed help, but most

were able to walk away from their ordeal, all with sun glances on to

protect their eyes from the daylight. They were in complete

darkness for six days after an explosion blocked their exit. They

were sent food and water and were able to talk through a special

hosepipe. This mine was abandoned 20 years ago, but the search of

gold took the men down there without permission. They put their

lives at risk in search of money and it's a story that's been

repeated many times. It's big business. Here in William Hague

field in the north of England, an old coal mine has turning into a

museum. 400 staff used to be employed to unearth �100,000 worth

of coal every week. Because of our mining heritage, news of trapped

miners always makes the headlines in Britain. Two years ago, the

country was glued to TVs as we watched ten miners in Chile were

pulled to safety. Last year four miners died in Wales. Andy Smith

helps run the museum, but he used to be a mine her himself. Why do

people still mine? The mine was due to finances. Underground reserves

of gold, silver, pottash, all minerals, everything that can make

money and provide jobs and I think due to lack of jobs, especially in

this country and others, I think mining becomes a gut thing to go

for. These men are very lucky to be rescued, but they shouldn't have

been there in the first place, because their mine was set up

without permission. There are calls to stop illegal mining to stop this

from happening again. Moving on, JT and I are often accused of talking

rubbish a lot. Occasionally. Now, we've got an excuse, because a new

bin has been designed that can hold up to eight times as much as

ordinary bins. It is powered by the sun. Hayley's got this one. Spring

is here and summer is on its way. That means picnics and days spent

outside. But it also means more rubbish. Sometimes your ordinary

bin just can't cut it. This the new bin in town. The idea that it's

much tidier and far less smelly. That's because it's a special

mechanical bin, that come possesses rubbish that's put inside it. Your

average bin would old one binbag, but this holds way more. Watch this.

This bin actually holds up to eight full binbags. How does it all work?

The daylight reaches the solar panel. The rubbish goes in like

this. Inside, this crusher comes down and crushes it. The clever bit

is still to come. Instead of a man collecting the rubbish every week,

whether they need it or not, this clever thing records how full it is

on a website. This is what the bin sent? Yeah. This is the council on

the desk tops in the office and their maps and they are represented

by dots. Green is fine, yellow is 85% full and red, pick me up.

That's put the lid on that then. Now, there are 1,000 of these all

over the UK, but it's hoped that very soon they'll be on every

street and in every park near you. Finally, I'm not sure about you,

but I hate it when my alarm goes off and wakes me up. You must

really hate it? Are you saying I'm late? I am often. The good news is

an American inventor has created an alarm that will get you out of bed,

because this can only be turned off by entering a special code into a
