First this morning, there are worries over whether

Danny Welbeck will be fit enough to play in England's World Cup opening

The striker suffered a thigh problem during training yesterday

England's first game is against Italy in the city of Manaus.

If Welbeck is ruled out, then it boosts the chances of Liverpool

Sticking with the World Cup, footy fever has certainly gripped

England, the only team to qualify from the UK, play their first game

on Saturday against Italy, so surely everyone in the country is

Well, as Jenny's been finding out, it's not as clear-cut as that.

The World Cup, the biggest footy event on the planet and a chance for

fans from around the world to gather to support their favourite teams.

32 countries from around the world qualified to compete in this

summer's festival of footy, but from the UK, only England will take part.

Although a lot of people living in the UK will be flying England's

flag, others living here will be supporting one

of the other 31 countries, or even more than one country.

I am from Scotland, who did not make it into the tournament,

But I also used to live in the Netherlands

and I love watching their players, so I will support the Dutch team.

But now I live in England, so I would

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has called on Brazilian fans

to support his country as well, because they have historical

connections and they both speak the same language, Portuguese.

At this school in Manchester, many of the children have

connections to lots of different parts of the world.

I want to find out who they will be supporting, and why.

I will not support England, because I already support Portugal

I will support Brazil because of their skills.

I will not support England because they will not be able to win.

Spain, because they have got good players and I like Juan Mata.

I will support the Netherlands and England.

Next, rescuers are fighting to save the life of a man trapped nearly

a thousand metres below ground inside Germany's deepest cave.

The man was injured by a rock fall at the weekend and he's

so far underground that it took the rescue team 12 hours to reach him.

A huge mission has been launched to get him to safety, but bringing him

to the surface through the cave system is a very difficult

The German Alps, near the southern Bavarian town of Berchtesgaden,

home to some of the deepest and most challenging caves in Europe.

It's here, in the early hours of Monday morning, that a caving

injured by falling rocks, trapping him a thousand metres underground.

One of the team went for help, the other stayed with the injured man.

A huge rescue mission was launched and on Monday evening,
