Good morning, I'm Ayshah - you're with Newsround

after a weekend of bumper British sporting success.

But we've also got the UK's first robot.

And record-breaking cow poo slingers - only on Newsround.

Britain's Andy Murray is Wimbledon champion once again.

He delivered a straight sets win on centre court to take

the men's singles title for the second time.

His victory over Canadian Milos Raonic was his third

And here's what Magic Murray had to say afterwards.

I had some great moments here and also some tough losses, and

obviously the winds feel extra special because of the tough losses,

so I'm proud to have my hands on the Trippi again. -- on the trophy.

And the win was part of an incredible Wimbledon Sunday

First up was Gordon Reid, who won Wimbledon's first ever

Then Jordanne Whiley became the women's wheelchair

doubles champion alongside Japan's Yu Kamiji, before

Heather Watson finished the day on a high, winning the mixed doubles

It's the best Wimbledon for British tennis players since 1934!

The team finished third in the medals table

at the European Athletics Championships yesterday

after picking up seven medals, including two golds from the men's

Britain finished with 16 medals, their highest at the Championships

And more Brit success - Lewis Hamilton has won

Lewis spoke right after the race about how hard it was

Trying not to make a mistake was difficult for all of us, but that is

what I love about this race. It is never just smooth sailing, there are

always things that happen through the race that make it spectacular.

And rounding up a packed Sunday of sporting action was the final of

Hosts France took on Portugal, and here's a look at the action.

Last night a month of footballing action came to an end and,

in this season of surprises, there was one more

France, the hosts, had gone into the final

And in Antoine Griezeman they had the Euros' top scorer.

But on the big night, he couldn't find the goal.

Portugal, of course, have their own star player -

But for once he wasn't the hero, leaving the match early,

and in tears, after picking up an injury.

France might have thought they were in luck at this point,

but as the match headed into extra time they were denied by the post.

Portugal refused to buckle and, out of nothing, a wonder goal

France were stunned - and the country that finished third

in their group went on to win the tournament

And their players enjoyed every moment of a historic win.

The UK's first robot is being remade by a museum.

He was a bit of a celebrity and travelled the world,

Now a project is making a modern-day copy of Eric, who could stand,

move his arms and legs, and rotate his head.

What we hope to do with Reid completed in time for a major

What we hope to do with Reid building Eric is to reverse engineer

what was in there. We knew what he did but how he did it internally is

still a mystery for us. The hardest bit of building Eric has definitely

been doing the skin, the shell. It involves using paper to get the

right shape, cutting out the aluminium, bending it around all of

the bits. Trial and error but it is coming together. It is not my style

of robot, it is going back into the past, there are some things I would

like to change and modify but I can't, because it is a replica.

Last up this morning, people in this village in Russia

have a rather unusual way of celebrating their national day.

They hold an annual cow dung-throwing competition!

Organisers say the contest is growing every year and 100 people

The top distance thrown was 46.5 metres - a new record.
