Morning, Leah here with Thursday's top stories. Coming up. Did

First to Sochi, and to a nail biting finish in the curling where

Britain's wheelchair team have pulled off a remarkable comeback

against the US. Aileen Neilson's team found themselves 5-1 down after

five ends. But they stormed back to level the game. Next up for Great

Britain is China who they play at 11:30 this morning. Next, tens of

thousands of budding scientists, engineers and space lovers will head

to the NEC in Birmingham over the next few days for the largest

celebration of science and technology for children in the UK.

The Big Bang Fair is all about encouraging more kids to work in

these fields and inspire perhaps the next Professor Brian Cox or Tim

Peake. Martin is there for us now. This fair is a massive celebration

of science, technology, engineering and maths. There will be some very

excited schoolkids coming through here to see what they can expect in

the future. We have some budding scientists here. This looks amazing.

Where welding the edges of chocolate and sticking it together to create

this shape. We can create a box and it is really strong. What do you

love about science? You can really get stuck in and make your own

stuff. It is fun and interesting to see how things work. Where are those

robots? Hope you find them. Now if you've ever been told to tuck your

school shirts in and straighten up your ties every now and again are

your teachers any better when it comes to how smart they dress? Well,

some staff at a London school have been criticised by education

inspectors for being too casual. They're worried adults may be

setting a bad example to pupils by wearing casual clothes in lessons.

think. All week on Newsround we've been showing you the ground breaking

technology behind the next wave of robots. Well now, researchers are

developing machines based on some of the smallest and fastest creatures

on planet earth. Ricky went to meet the scientists who are creating

robots by looking very closely at these.. Ants!

We have entered this new and exciting phase in robotics where

technology is taking inspiration from the nature around us and as

humans as well. We are trying to make robots that will make in --

will work in the real world which is an untidy place. The world is full

of amazing creatures who get on perfectly well in the real world.

They provide us with inspiration and also fantastic design. Tell us about

the swarm and how those robots operate. It is meant to operate like

a colony of ants. To model the way that they forage for food. Some

scientists argue there's not much point in basing a robot on a human

being because we are too complex. So they turned their attention to

robots inspired by biology. Things like the grasshopper or even the

flea. Plenty of people are still interested in robots that look and

behave like people but many of us realise that most robots we really

need in the real world do not need to look like people.

Football now and Manchester City couldn't quite stop the mighty force

of Barcelona. They're out of the Champions League after a 2-1 defeat

last night - 4-1 overall. Lionel Messi and Dani Alves scoring for

Barcleona. Vincent Kompany scoring the only goal of the game for City!

Finally the three rare tiger cubs that were born at London Zoo. This

Sumatran tigress gave birth to the triplets last month and keepers are

now confident the cubs are healthy, so have released these images of

them, filmed by a hidden camera. The Sumatran tiger is listed as

critically endangered, and there's only about 300 in existence. That's
