I used to watch

Newsround all the time.

What do they have to look forward

to in this movie from you?

Some fun fights.

Some fun creatures I get

to work with, and, some

fun new spaceships.

They are the real fun stuff.

What does this film mean

for the new generation of fans?

These films from the beginning

were meant for children.

People forget that.

They say no, it is for

48-year-old nerds.

No, it's for children.

It just so happens that it appeals

to the child in all of us, I

guess.

I was seven when I first saw

Star Wars, and Princess

Leia meant the world to me,

because I hadn't seen many

iconic female superheroes.

And now I get to be part of a group,

a tribe of very powerful

female characters.

I've got my nephews here

who are young and they

are passionate Star Wars fans,

and they are the children

of my brother who's nearly 50,

and he is the world's

greatest Star Wars fan.

So it is for such a wide audience.

Despite the fact that

I am in it, I think

it is one of the best

Star Wars films ever made.

What will you be doing

on Christmas Eve?

Watching festive films?

Maybe putting out a mince pie

for Father Christmas?

Well, these boys have a very

important job to do before they can

go to bed - singing for people

all around the world!

Let's meet them.

Hi, Newsround.

We sing in King's College Choir,

which started over 500

years ago.

Christmas is a very special time

for us, because we sing

in a service called

Nine Lessons and Carols.

And it takes place right here, in

King's College Chapel in Cambridge,

it first took place in 1918.

This service is broadcast live on

the radio on Christmas Eve

and millions of people listen to it

every year.

The service starts with a boy

singing a solo of Once In

Royal David's City.

Nobody knows who's going

to do the solo until

right before it begins,

when the conductor points

at somebody to do it.

Before the service, I feel

excited and nervous.

Yeah, it's all mixed

emotions, really.

There is always something

to help you with

your nerves.

I usually take really deep

breaths and think about how

amazing the service

is going to sound.

I also love how I can just imagine,

when we are singing, people

just smiling on the other

side of the radio.

Before the service I feel proud

to sing with this choir,

because it's really, really famous.

I feel really Christmassy, because

it's just really building up to

Christmas.

We can't wait for Christmas Eve.

Next, lots of you will probably

bring in a Christmas present

for your teacher on the last day

before the holidays.

But some kids in Falkirk in Scotland

have been told not to,

because the local council has

stopped allowing it!

The council say they've

decided this because not

all families have the money,

or want to buy

presents for teachers.

But some kids and parents

aren't happy about it.

And we want you to get in touch

and tell us if you think buying

teachers Christmas presents

is a good idea or not.
