It's just coming up to midday, but the news doesn't stop here -

:00:07.:00:11.

I've got six minutes of the latest stories including: The incredible

:00:12.:00:13.

And stay with us for a first look at the new Star Wars

:00:14.:00:19.

First up those amazing pictures from space.

:00:20.:00:32.

These incredible pics have just been released by NASA

:00:33.:00:34.

The clusters of bright light are cities and built up areas.

:00:35.:00:41.

Scientists say they give us the clearest view yet

:00:42.:00:45.

The maps are made by stitching together thousands

:00:46.:00:48.

Keep it space now - big news for Star Wars fans -

:00:49.:00:53.

the first trailer for the new Star Wars movie,

:00:54.:00:56.

Next to something that quite possible could be

:00:57.:01:23.

One of Britain's stinkiest tourist attractions -

:01:24.:01:26.

It's finally reopened a year after it had to close

:01:27.:01:30.

This is the Jorvik Centre, one of the most popular museums in the UK

:01:31.:01:58.

and it is all about these guys, Vikings. They are finally reopening

:01:59.:02:04.

after severe flooding forced to close down. When the floodwaters

:02:05.:02:10.

came in there was nowhere for the water to escape and some parts of

:02:11.:02:13.

the Museum the water was about one metre high and caused a lot of

:02:14.:02:17.

damage, but look at it now. Tell us what happened. Most of us were at

:02:18.:02:24.

home enjoying Christmas when I got the call to say water was coming in

:02:25.:02:27.

the back door and then recalled in the conservation team to come and

:02:28.:02:35.

get the objects, 1000 objects, and we had to get them all to safety.

:02:36.:02:40.

Luckily everything in sight was saved. Some of the items in here are

:02:41.:02:45.

priceless. How have you got to the stage. A lot of hard work and a lot

:02:46.:02:50.

of people involved but we decided early on we wanted to do something

:02:51.:02:55.

different. Schoolchildren have been coming here for more than 30 years,

:02:56.:02:59.

what do they make the changes? I was a very sad because it is a very cool

:03:00.:03:11.

place and the lot of the sites could have been damaged. It was amazing

:03:12.:03:13.

how civilised we were then, but the smells were very disgusting. It

:03:14.:03:17.

brought the fighting period to live and there were lots of interesting

:03:18.:03:23.

things. -- the Viking period to life. They have worked hard to

:03:24.:03:30.

preserve this museum so everyone can continue to see what the Vikings

:03:31.:03:36.

dead many years ago. -- what they did.

:03:37.:03:38.

And if that's not smelly enough for you then my I recommend you head

:03:39.:03:41.

straight to Newsround online where Ricky is getting dangerously

:03:42.:03:44.

Now take a look at this American and Australian scientists have found

:03:45.:03:50.

a pretty cool way of learning more about whales who live

:03:51.:03:52.

This is not a view you get to see every day and that is because it is

:03:53.:04:01.

Scientists have found a new way of seeing whales

:04:02.:04:07.

in their natural habitat using a special type of camera called...

:04:08.:04:12.

They are attached to the whale's back using suction cups like this.

:04:13.:04:22.

This allows scientists to record astounding images.

:04:23.:04:24.

It gives them a glimpse some of their life under the sea and

:04:25.:04:28.

how they behave, how they interact with other whales and where the feed

:04:29.:04:31.

The camera tags stay on each whale for between

:04:32.:04:35.

24 and 48 hours until they drop off and are collected by the scientists.

:04:36.:04:39.

The information they get is very important because it helps protect

:04:40.:04:41.

the whales and the areas they feed in.

:04:42.:04:49.

Sport now, and we're sending a massive

:04:50.:04:51.

high five to Katie Archibald, who has won Great Britain's first

:04:52.:04:57.

gold, at the World Track Cycling Championships,

:04:58.:04:59.

You win the omnium by scoring the most points over four events.

:05:00.:05:03.

Katie was second going into the final event but did enough

:05:04.:05:06.

to beat Amy Cure of Australia to the gold medal.

:05:07.:05:08.

With Premier League leaders Chelsea, not playing until tomorrow,

:05:09.:05:10.

Tottenham have the opportunity, to narrow the gap at

:05:11.:05:12.

Sebastian Vettel looks like the man to beat

:05:13.:05:19.

at this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix.

:05:20.:05:21.

who leads the standings along with Lewis Hamilton,

:05:22.:05:24.

was quickest in both practice sessions yesterday.

:05:25.:05:28.

Qualifying gets underway at four o'clock this afternoon,

:05:29.:05:30.

under the lights, with commentary on

:05:31.:05:31.

And it's not just a weekend of sport - oh, no!

:05:32.:05:35.

And we want to know what's your favourite thing about it.

:05:36.:05:39.

Do you love a good egg hunt, are you looking favourite to some

:05:40.:05:42.

serious chocolate or maybe you love spending time catching up

:05:43.:05:44.

Let us know and we might read your favourite bits out on the show!

:05:45.:05:49.
