Hi, it's Saturday, I'm Jenny and this is Newsround, live on CBBC. | :00:00. | :00:08.
It is a special day at Newsround HQ, as we welcome British astronaut | :00:09. | :00:13.
Tim Peake to the studio, to answer your questions. | :00:14. | :00:26.
But, just before meet Tim, we have had a sneak peak behind the scenes | :00:27. | :00:29.
Ex-Newsround presenter Ore Oduba is starring in the show this year | :00:30. | :00:33.
and he wowed us last week with his American Smooth. | :00:34. | :00:36.
But what is he doing this week? Take a look at this. | :00:37. | :00:42.
It is rehearsal day, which means there is a lot to get through, | :00:43. | :00:49.
Laura is a member of the production team, who is going | :00:50. | :00:56.
to talk me through everything that we have got to do today. | :00:57. | :00:59.
Till about half past and then you have a TV Times shoot at 11 | :01:00. | :01:11.
Then, you have got lunch and then you're going to | :01:12. | :01:15.
rehearse your block down and walk-through at one o'clock. | :01:16. | :01:17.
It gets more glamorous as we go through. | :01:18. | :01:25.
That's Ben, who is also a member of the team. | :01:26. | :01:27.
Jo and I are doing the jive this week, which is so full on. | :01:28. | :01:31.
It is fast, it is frenetic, but it is so brilliant. | :01:32. | :01:33.
But like Laura said, there is so much more | :01:34. | :01:35.
to get through before we even get to rehearsing that today. | :01:36. | :01:38.
So, I've got to do a fitting first and that TV Times magazine shoot | :01:39. | :01:41.
she talked about, it's basically Judge Rinder | :01:42. | :01:43.
dressed as a vampire, me and Claudia Fragapane | :01:44. | :01:45.
That is just the life that you lead on Strictly Come Dancing. | :01:46. | :01:54.
Next, Major Tim Peake made history when he became the first-ever | :01:55. | :01:57.
He spent six months on board the International Space Station | :01:58. | :02:01.
And Tim is here to answer some of your questions, but first, | :02:02. | :02:05.
we can take a look at his incredible achievements. | :02:06. | :02:08.
..on their way to the International Space Station. | :02:09. | :02:10.
This is the moment Major Tim Peake blasted up into space. | :02:11. | :02:13.
During his six-month stay, he circled Earth 16 times a day, | :02:14. | :02:15.
enjoying a view of our planet that few get to see. | :02:16. | :02:18.
On board the ISS, Tim had to overcome some new challenges, | :02:19. | :02:20.
like learning how to brush his teeth, take a shower | :02:21. | :02:23.
He also did a lot of science experiments and became the | :02:24. | :02:27.
first Brit to do a space walk, even taking a selfie | :02:28. | :02:30.
And as if that wasn't enough to keep him busy, | :02:31. | :02:33.
he found time to run a marathon, setting a new record | :02:34. | :02:36.
After six months, it was time for Tim to come back home to Earth, | :02:37. | :02:41.
where he landed with a bump in Kazakstan in Asia. | :02:42. | :02:43.
After six months, it was time for Tim to come back home to Earth, | :02:44. | :02:56.
where he landed with a bump in Kazakstan in Asia. | :02:57. | :02:58.
It is indeed. And he is with us at the moment. We have had hundreds of | :02:59. | :03:24.
questions. We will get cracking. What was your favourite moment? | :03:25. | :03:30.
There are so many to choose from. Going out of the era block to do the | :03:31. | :03:37.
spacewalk. You go out into this black abyss. For the first time, you | :03:38. | :03:42.
are suddenly looking down. How did you feel when you landed back on | :03:43. | :03:57.
Earth? We were just relieved that everything was all right. You | :03:58. | :04:02.
suddenly feel very heavy. Suddenly, you get called back into gravity. It | :04:03. | :04:13.
was a bit strange the first day. A lot of people have been asking how | :04:14. | :04:23.
happy your family where to see you back? Obviously, they were happy and | :04:24. | :04:26.
it was just straight back into the old routine. It was not as if I had | :04:27. | :04:33.
not been in contact. I had a video conference with them once a week. | :04:34. | :04:39.
What did you miss most about space when you were back on Earth? The | :04:40. | :04:51.
view. It changed every day. Every time you looked, it was something | :04:52. | :04:57.
different. Gabriella wants to know where you reverse gear? There was a | :04:58. | :05:05.
couple of moments. You are always apprehensive, going on the likes of | :05:06. | :05:11.
the spacewalk. It can be dangerous. But we are trained so will, if | :05:12. | :05:16.
anything does go wrong, we have training with regard to what to do. | :05:17. | :05:22.
But the best thing is to take that here and work out what is making me | :05:23. | :05:27.
skint and find a reason why you should not be. What happens if you | :05:28. | :05:39.
wanted to cry in space? Astronauts do not cry! But if you wanted to, | :05:40. | :05:46.
the water would really just the within your eye. It really would not | :05:47. | :05:54.
go anywhere. Did you ever shed a tear? No. Thank you so much for | :05:55. | :06:00.
coming in. | :06:01. | :06:02. |
