Good morning, I'm Jenny, it's Friday, and this is what's

coming up on Newsround.

The scientists hoping to shine some light on black holes.

And the dolphins having a whale of a time in south Africa.

First up to the goalkeeper who has just become the most

expensive in British history.

Jordan Pickford has left Sunderland, who were relegated last season,

to join Everton for a fee that could rise to ?30 million.

We'll get to see Pickford in action when he plays for England Under-21's

in this summer's European Championships.

Now, when it come to space, black holes are pretty mysterious things.

But a group of scientists in China have just launched a special

telescope which is aiming to shed a little light on the subject.

Meet the Insight telescope, China's first x-ray telescope, which they've

just launched into space.

Its job will be to search for black holes and help scientists

understand them better.

Black holes are pretty elusive characters,

and are usually invisible to regular space telescopes.

This is because they suck in all the light which is nearby

to them with their super strong gravitational pull.

However, the new Insight telescope has a bit of a trick up its sleeve.

When objects like stars get sucked into a black hole,

they heat up and give out x-rays.

These are then picked up by the Insight telescope and sent

back to the scientists here on Earth.

Researchers are hoping it will help them to learn more about how

the black holes behave and tell them about other object in our galaxy.

Pretty cool.

This is one of the most famous paintings in

the world - the Mona Lisa.

But you've never seen her looking like this...

A Spanish street artist has created a mega-mural of the painting that's

over 50 metres tall on the side of a building in Paris.

The artist says he wanted a new version for the whole world.

Do you miss X Factor or The Voice?

They might not be on at the moment, but a brand new singing show

starts on Saturday night.

30 choirs and singing groups will be battling it out

for a big prize of ?50,000, over six episodes.

It is vocal groups, amazing vocal groups,

very varied vocal groups, from Gospel choirs to a cappella,

competing, basically, to be crowned the best vocal group

of Pitch Battle.

Mel Giedroyc will be joined by judges choirmaster Gareth Malone

and American singer Kelis, so get your voices ready

to sing along this weekend.

Next up, these pelicans look pretty happy but it was a different story

a couple of months ago.

Here's Hayley to explain why.

Hundreds of pelicans have been seriously poorly due to a poisonous

algae that's been growing far too rapidly in the waters

where they live.

While small amount of this algae are fine, the pelicans have big

appetite and too much of the green stuff can make them ill.

When this toxin builds up, gets in the fish,

doesn't hurt the fish.

Get in the barnacle, doesn't hurt the barnacle.

But when things in turn eat those critters, like our seagulls,

like our pelicans, like our loons, when they eat these critters

they can concentrate that material so much inside them they get sick.

After eating this stuff the pelicans find it difficult to swim or fly,

and have to receive help from local wildlife reserves, where they nurse

the birds back to health.

When the algae has vanished from the water and the birds'

tummies are better, the vets get to take the pelicans

to the beach and release them back into the water.

It's the best part of my job, releasing pelicans.

You see them in the pool, and they look like they're doing OK,

but once you bring them out here you see how happy

they are to be out back in the wild, and the best thing is when they jump

out of the crate so fast they kick sand up in your face!

Back up on their feet and with better tummies,

the pelicans are just happy to fly free back to the water

that they call home.

Finally, check out these playful dolphins off

the coast of South Africa.

Drone footage caught the pod jumping in the waves for over eight hours.

The dolphins were kicking back after the area where they live had

been hit by big storms recently.
