It's Friday, I'm Naz, this is Newsround.

:00:00.:00:00.

Storming ahead - Para GB pass the 100 medal mark

:00:00.:00:10.

A gigantic meteorite is unearthed in Argentina.

:00:11.:00:17.

And the moment the moon fell to Earth.

:00:18.:00:19.

But first to the Paralympics, where Para GB are still second

:00:20.:00:33.

The team won five more golds on day eight, making 49 in total.

:00:34.:00:40.

Here's a round-up of some of yesterday's best bits.

:00:41.:00:44.

It was a glittering day of gold and silver medals for Para GB.

:00:45.:00:48.

Richard Whitehead claimed joint silver in the 100m,

:00:49.:00:52.

After a slow start, a huge burst of speed and some determination

:00:53.:00:57.

Multi-medal winner Kadeena Cox added a silver to her collection,

:00:58.:01:04.

leading out the sprint relay team with Maria Lyle,

:01:05.:01:06.

Georgina Hermitage and Sophie Hahn - the team just missing out to China.

:01:07.:01:12.

In the dressage, Natasha Baker - who's known as the Horse Whisperer -

:01:13.:01:15.

got the gold with her horse, Cabral.

:01:16.:01:18.

She's not only a multiple paralympic champion,

:01:19.:01:24.

but also has a first-class degree in maths, she may need it

:01:25.:01:28.

to calculate her growing list of titles.

:01:29.:01:31.

And when it comes to numbers, they say age is just another.

:01:32.:01:35.

Well, Anne Dunham turns 68 this month and she won a silver.

:01:36.:01:41.

Over on the waters of Rio, it was the first-ever time

:01:42.:01:44.

para canoeing has been an event at the games, and Para GB

:01:45.:01:47.

athletes took full advantage of the new sport.

:01:48.:01:51.

20 years ago, Jeanette Chippington won gold as a swimmer, but this time

:01:52.:01:55.

it was gold in the canoeing after she came back

:01:56.:01:57.

Emma Wiggs is another who has switched sports -

:01:58.:02:03.

competing in sitting volleyball four years ago,

:02:04.:02:06.

Anne Dickins was at those games in London too, as a volunteer.

:02:07.:02:12.

She confessed to suffering seasickness the first

:02:13.:02:14.

time she got in a canoe, but she got over that

:02:15.:02:17.

Well, sadly, the Paralympics come to an end this weekend -

:02:18.:02:29.

they've been a huge success for Great Britain.

:02:30.:02:31.

But what do they mean to kids with disabilities watching here?

:02:32.:02:34.

Before I watched this year's Paralympics, I never knew

:02:35.:02:36.

what actual disabled people can do before.

:02:37.:02:43.

There's loads of different disabilities for each person.

:02:44.:02:53.

It just makee me feel so proud, and makes me want to achieve

:02:54.:02:56.

It just puts another perspective on it.

:02:57.:03:00.

I mean, not just for disabled people, but for everybody.

:03:01.:03:04.

ELECTRONIC VOICE: In my opinion, Paralympics is like an education

:03:05.:03:09.

It's OK for people to be different, and others need to get over the fact

:03:10.:03:15.

I want to be in the Paralympics one day.

:03:16.:03:22.

ELECTRONIC VOICE: It's really important they have the

:03:23.:03:27.

Paralympics, so we can show the world what we can do.

:03:28.:03:34.

Now to Italy, where 170 kids have just celebrated their first few days

:03:35.:03:37.

back at school after it was damaged by an earthquake during

:03:38.:03:40.

This school in Amatrice, as well as several others nearby,

:03:41.:03:46.

But now, with the help of some temporary classrooms

:03:47.:03:50.

made out of containers, kids can go back to school.

:03:51.:03:55.

Scientists in Argentina have uncovered a massive meteorite

:03:56.:03:58.

It was dug up in the north of the country, in a place called

:03:59.:04:03.

the Field of the Heavens, which was hit by a shower

:04:04.:04:06.

of the large, rocky objects which fell from space

:04:07.:04:08.

Experts think it could be one of the biggest in the world.

:04:09.:04:16.

Now to a moon landing with a difference, check this out -

:04:17.:04:20.

a huge moon-shaped balloon is causing chaos rolling

:04:21.:04:23.

It's been blowing across the motorways and rolling

:04:24.:04:28.

The huge balloon was part of the annual Moon Festival -

:04:29.:04:36.

that's until it blew off in the strong winds.

:04:37.:04:42.

That's all from me, we're back in half an hour.

:04:43.:04:44.
