Why do with a special news from the Paralympics. Here is what is coming

up. Paralympics GB claim their 50th goal of the games with this

fantastic from Paul Blake. I find out what it is like for

children with disabilities who live here in Rio.

Hello, I am Martin, live from Rio de Janeiro. The Paralympics is in this

city and that means a whole range of people with different disabilities

have come here to complete -- compete. When you are here in the

part the access is pretty good but outside in the streets it is pretty

difficult, I find it hard getting up and down pavements and into

buildings. What is it like for people with disabilities? I have

been to meet an 11-year-old and here is his story.

I have come to a poor neighbourhood in the north of Rio to meet a pretty

cool dude. As you can see, he doesn't let his disability hold him

back. He was born without fully formed arms and legs, which can make

everyday life quite difficult for him. My aunt gave me a skateboard

for Easter when I was smaller, to help me get around, so I kept

training with this small plastic skateboard, just to help me.

Eventually my mum bought me a wooden skateboard and I started to come

here to the park to learn how to do it properly and it was a cool

experience and since then I have been coming here to play. Transport

is very difficult around the city. Things need to be more accessible.

The buses should be better for wheelchair users. There should be

more ramps everywhere. I would also like cars to be more accessible as

well. How do you feel about the Paralympics being in the city of

Rio? The Paralympic games are very important to me, I really like it.

It has encouraged me to do more sports. Each day I watch one more

sport and it encourages me more, it gives me more sports -- hope. If it

was in another city I would not be watching with the same emotion as I

am here in Rio. What message would you give to young people with a

disability? Whenever you see a barrier or some difficulty, have

faith and always keep your head up. Don't let anything keep your head

down. Remember these words, faith, determination and willpower and you

will go far and you will get your prize. It was an absolute pleasure

meeting him, what an inspirational young man. Let us look at the action

from today, it has been a strong start for Paralympics GB. The team

has now reached 50 gold medals so far with another great performance

from Paul Blake on the track and he built on the bronze and Silver

medals he got at London 2012 and he grabbed gold in the T 36 400 metre

race. Sophie Wells won her second gold-medal of the games in the

dressage. -- her second medal of the games with a silver in the dressage.

The basketball team are battling against the Netherlands to try and

get a medal in the bronze medal match. Earlier we had what it was

like for children in Rio de Janeiro to get around their home own city. I

would like to know what it is like for children watching the

Paralympics back home in the UK. Take a look. Before I watched this

year Paralympics I never knew that actual disabled people can do

sports. It made me so proud and meant I can achieve what I can in

life. It is really important they have the Paralympics we can show the

world what we can do. The medal chances just keep coming for

Paralympics GB. Later today we are guaranteed either a gold or silver

in the wheelchair tennis as Gordon Reid takes on his doubles partner

Alfie Hewett in the men's signal -- singles final. Hannah Cockroft will

be in action later in the 800 metres T 34 final. We have won so many

medals it is hard to keep up but don't worry, we have it covered. You
