We meet the creatures desperate for your health. I am Louis Walsh and

nearly time to face the music. X Factor is back this weekend but no

Simon, no share all, no Dannii, any good? -- no Cheryl.

We have talked a lot about the thousands of people who have fled

famine and war in Somalia. When I went to Kenya, I visited the Dadaab

refugee camp near the Somali and order and reported on how

overcrowded things were. A new section of the camp has opened up.

Instead of flimsy tents, it is filled with thousands of proper

houses and schools, and today, families started moving in.

When this camp was created 25 years ago, it was only meant for 90,000

people. Now five times that number are living here, and every day,

thousands more arrive. Many are escaping famine in nearby Somalia.

They walk for days to reach the camp, and arrive wheat and

malnourished. Conditions are so overcrowded that new arrivals have

to set up camp in the desert -- arrive week. Some of the kids were

living in makeshift tents. They have no toilets, know where to eat

and hardly any water. TRANSLATION:, during the day it is hot and windy,

during the night it is really cold. Drive a short distance down this

dusty road and you will find this. New houses, schools and toilets.

For months, it has been empty. The Kenyan government has done a lot to

help refugees fleeing the famine in neighbouring countries, but when

the new camp was built, the government worried that the

facilities were so good, refugees who moved in might never want to

leave. The camp or shut and no one was allowed in. Now finally, months

on, Kenya has decided to open the camp, and for the first time,

families are moving in. Just 100 to start with, but with space for

40,000 people, it will still be home to the likes of the Seine and

families who are in desperate need of help. -- the likes of Hussein.

There is good news for the comeback kings of the countryside. 40 years

ago, otters came close to dying out because there was so much pollution

in our river. But lots of work has been done to improve that and the

mammals have been spotted in every single county across England. Go,

otters, you are doing good! And to some not quite so cute or

cuddly creatures and because of that, they don't get so much

attention. When it comes to endangered animals,

we normally hear about the bigger animals, even though the threats

surrounding other species gets bigger every day.

Polar bears and leopards. They are facing an uncertain future. But you

probably already knew that. That is because these animals are

frequently on TV, and in the papers, when it comes to talking about

endangered species. However, there are thousands of other creatures

under threat, but they don't get the same amount of coverage,

because some would argue that they are a bit ugly, or to put it

That is why a special conservation project called Age was launched,

which aims to highlight the plight of weird species facing an

uncertain future -- Edge. I manage a focus -- a programme which

focuses on the Z less celebrities of the animal kingdom. -- Z list.

This is a mountain chicken frog. In its natural habitat it has

practically been wiped out because of the deadly fungus, and there are

only a couple of hundred left in the world. The disease emerged in

the 70s and it is leading to the demise of pretty much all species

of amphibians, all the frogs, all the newts. The more species we lose,

the worse it is likely to be for what is left on the planet,

including humans. Plenty of work to be done.

Absolutely. It is not often that a prince pops

in to tell you how well you're doing your job, but that is what

happened to a bunch of firefighters, police and ambulance crews today.

They told Prince Harry how much they'd dealt with the recent

violence in Manchester in silent -- and Salford. Harry visited some of

the shops affected and thanked the emergency teams for their hard work.

It is that time of year again, when we give up our Saturday nights from

now up until Christmas. It is a bit sad! X Factor is back. But not as

we know it. With three favourite faces gone, can it survive?

It is all change on the X Factor this year. Simon, Cheryl and Dannii

have gone. In their place, these guys. Take that superstar Gary

Barlow, Kelly Rowland, and Flowers from N-Dubz. Can the new series

work without Simon Cowell -- Flowers from N-Dubz. It is a big

risk, but that is what the show is about. It is about moving forward

always as a TV show. The public are always going to be hesitant when it

comes to new people. Especially when you are someone like Simon and

Cheryl, they are going to say, you better be good. What is it like,

not having someone like Simon on the panel? He left pop idol, is

survived. We miss him, but the show can be bigger without him, I think.

But then it Louis would say that. Despite claims that this is boot

camp will be tougher than ever, Kelly Rowland think she has spotted

several winners already. Everybody has always asked me since the X

Factor, what is the difference between the US talent and the

British talent? Truly and honestly, talent his talent.

We can't talk Saturday-night without mentioning Strictly Come

Dancing, which starts next month. They have big plans, with a special

show at Wembley Arena, and the final from Blackpool Tower, in 3D.

Not to be beaten, X Factor bosses confirmed this week that their

final will be at Wembley, so let the battle commence.
