Hello and welcome to Newsround. As always we have everything you need

to know and a bit extra. Under way, we wish happy birthday to a very

old chimp. Their obviously ran out of cake. And Nicola Roberts get

stuck into her solo career, but can she handle this Pop Quiz? Adele?

First we had to Somalia where there are warnings that the situation for

children could be about to get worse. The recent drought means

many families have no food or shelter, and the rainy season is

about to start, which could mean even more serious problems.

This is Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, one of the country's worst

affected by the drought in South -- Africa. Hundreds of families come

here because they think they have a better chance of getting food and

water here. Many of the children that arrive are malnourished and

are dying because of their lack of food. Things could get worse. Heavy

rains are expected, which you might think is good news, but they will

destroy the tents which people are living in and if the camps flood,

children will be in danger of catching measles and diarrhoea

which could prove deadly. I spoke to Justin Forsyth who is working

out there for the charity Save The Children. What is the situation

Charities are stepping up their efforts so that when the rains come,

the people here have a better chance of survival.

If you were watching that and wondering what you can do to help

them, you could take inspiration from Press Packers Charlie. Last

year he raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for children

after their 80 earthquake when his fund-raising efforts became an

internet sensation. -- after the Haiti earthquake. Now he is passing

on his expertise. A year ago are raised a quarter of a million

pounds for Haiti. I am going to do the same but for Somalia. I am

helping school kids get ready for their sponsored cycle ride. All of

the money that we raised will go to Somalia. We did a question and

answer session so that these young fundraisers could get prepared for

the cycle ride. Did you have to do any training before the five miles?

I'd probably have to trade at least once a week -- train. My parents

sponsored me and they passed it on to my friends and their friends.

How did you feel after the bike ride? I felt tired and very proud

of myself. These are my top three tips for his charity cycle ride. No.

1, always make sure your tyres are pumped up properly. No. 2, make

sure that your brakes are working. No. 3, make sure that you have got

a proper Helmut for the bike ride. Now they know how I did it, how are

they feeling for their big event? More confident and ready for the

bike ride next week. If I do this bike ride it will really help some

people in Somalia. I am really excited because Charlie raised a

lot of money and I hope to raise the same. Not long to go. With

sponsorship coming in, you had better get training. This is

One of these chains looks like he is having a great time, because it

is happy birthday to Ricky. Not our Ricky, but this guy, one of the

oldest animals at Edinburgh Zoo, having reached the big Five-O. He

held his party to celebrate. The members of Team GB for the

Olympics were officially announced today. The first 11 are this lot,

the sailors, with Ben Ainslie in front, aiming for his 4th gold

medal for 2012. It is massively exciting, of course. For all of us

it is a huge honour to represent the home nation at a home Olympics.

We know her best as one of the five members of Girls Aloud, but Nicola

Roberts has that doubt on her own and now is riding solo. Her first

album Cinderella Eyes is out this week and she has been telling

Hayley all about it. Say and music has always been

really important to me. That is what I wanted to do when I was

growing up. Is it very different to working with Girls Aloud? Yes, it

is very different. It is just you on your own and I do miss the girls.

Is that the end of Girls Aloud? Definitely not. Your album is

called Cinderella Eyes. Within that you talk about the issue of

bullying. Is that important to you? There is a song on at the record

called Sticks and Stones. It is very close to make and it was a

situation that I went through. I wanted to have a record that

actually meant something and that somebody could really identify with

it and it could really help them personally. I just think it is a

positive angle on something that is negative. Because it is called

Cinderella Eyes, we have a Pop Quiz for you, based on the eyes of
