Hi, I'm Ricky and this is Newsround. | 0:00:11 | 0:00:13
Last night the third and final debate took place between | 0:00:13 | 0:00:16
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. | 0:00:16 | 0:00:20
Both candidates want to be President of the United States. | 0:00:20 | 0:00:20
The debate was pretty bad tempered. | 0:00:23 | 0:00:25
Mr Trump called Mrs Clinton a "nasty woman". | 0:00:25 | 0:00:28
He also refused to answer a question about whether he would accept | 0:00:28 | 0:00:31
the result of the election if he doesn't win. | 0:00:31 | 0:00:34
Clinton said that Trump was a "Puppet" for | 0:00:34 | 0:00:36
the Russian leader Vladimir Putin. | 0:00:36 | 0:00:38
The vote takes place on the 8th of November. | 0:00:38 | 0:00:41
Next up, we're still waiting to hear what happened to a probe that | 0:00:41 | 0:00:45
scientists sent to land on Mars. | 0:00:45 | 0:00:47
The European Space Agency say the signal from the Schiaparelli | 0:00:47 | 0:00:50
lander disappeared just before it was due to touch down | 0:00:50 | 0:00:53
on the red planet yesterday. | 0:00:53 | 0:00:55
Scientists say they haven't yet written off the craft, | 0:00:55 | 0:00:57
but the signs aren't good. | 0:00:57 | 0:01:04
Thousands of people are trying to escape from one of Iraq's biggest | 0:01:04 | 0:01:07
cities ahead of huge battle expected to take place there. | 0:01:07 | 0:01:10
The Iraqi army is trying to take back control of the city of Mosul | 0:01:10 | 0:01:13
from the group that calls itself Islamic State. | 0:01:13 | 0:01:16
Charities say families and children are likely | 0:01:16 | 0:01:18
to be among the most affected. | 0:01:18 | 0:01:22
Here's what you need to know. | 0:01:22 | 0:01:27
Iraq, a country in the Middle East next to Syria. | 0:01:27 | 0:01:33
The second largest city in Iraq, Mosul, is controlled | 0:01:33 | 0:01:36
by the extremist Islamist group that calls itself Islamic State. | 0:01:36 | 0:01:43
Islamic State has killed a lot of people in Iraq and Syria. | 0:01:43 | 0:01:46
It has also been behind deadly attacks around the world, including | 0:01:46 | 0:01:50
the Paris attacks in France. | 0:01:50 | 0:01:53
When they first started fighting, Islamic State took over | 0:01:53 | 0:01:56
lots of land and cities in Iraq, and the Iraqi government | 0:01:56 | 0:01:59
asked for help. | 0:01:59 | 0:02:02
A couple of years ago, some countries including the UK | 0:02:02 | 0:02:04
and the US began dropping bombs to help the Iraqi army | 0:02:04 | 0:02:08
fight back against Islamic State. | 0:02:08 | 0:02:13
It worked. | 0:02:13 | 0:02:15
The Iraqi army began to win back big cities and they had been planning | 0:02:15 | 0:02:18
to take back Mosul for a long time. | 0:02:18 | 0:02:21
Now the battle has started with 30,000 army troops | 0:02:21 | 0:02:25
and small groups of fighters from the area. | 0:02:25 | 0:02:30
Mosul is important because it is the last big city | 0:02:30 | 0:02:33
that Islamic State controls in Iraq. | 0:02:33 | 0:02:36
So if IS loses control of Mosul, it could mean an important step | 0:02:36 | 0:02:40
to ending their rule over large parts of Iraq and Syria. | 0:02:40 | 0:02:46
But charities are worried about how the fighting will affect | 0:02:46 | 0:02:49
more than half a million children and their families in the area. | 0:02:49 | 0:02:53
Right now there are half a million children trapped inside Mosul | 0:02:53 | 0:02:57
and parents have an impossible decision to make. | 0:02:57 | 0:03:00
Either they stay and they risk being killed by bombs and bullets, | 0:03:00 | 0:03:04
or they try to leave. | 0:03:04 | 0:03:06
So what we need now are safe escape routes for children | 0:03:06 | 0:03:08
and their families to escape from the fighting. | 0:03:08 | 0:03:11
Right now, at reception centres in the towns near to Mosul, | 0:03:11 | 0:03:14
we are seeing children arrive exhausted after two days of walking | 0:03:14 | 0:03:18
in the desert. | 0:03:18 | 0:03:20
Many of these children haven't been to school for two years | 0:03:20 | 0:03:22
under IS rule. | 0:03:22 | 0:03:25
Many children have been caught up in the fighting and forced to leave. | 0:03:25 | 0:03:29
No one is sure how long the fighting will last for but many people hope | 0:03:29 | 0:03:33
they can one day return to the place that they used to call home. | 0:03:33 | 0:03:40
And if you want to know more about what's happening in Iraq, | 0:03:40 | 0:03:43
take a look at our new webguide. | 0:03:43 | 0:03:45
And don't forget if you're upset by this story or by anything | 0:03:45 | 0:03:48

Last night saw the end of super-chilled Selasi. | 0:04:44 | 0:04:46
Let's take a look at the three contenders to win the baking crown. | 0:04:46 | 0:04:49
From 12 hopeful bakers down to three aspiring Mary Berrys, | 0:04:49 | 0:04:52
the Great British Bake Off is entering its final stage. | 0:04:52 | 0:04:55
Let's take a closer look at the final three. | 0:04:55 | 0:04:57
First up is Candice Brown. | 0:04:57 | 0:04:59
She's already clocked up three Star Baker wins, more than any | 0:04:59 | 0:05:02
of the other finalists. | 0:05:02 | 0:05:04
Best bake, this striking peacock show stopper she created | 0:05:04 | 0:05:07
in the quarterfinals has made her race firm favourite | 0:05:07 | 0:05:10
to win the baking crown. | 0:05:10 | 0:05:16
But Candice did falter when her cheesy fish pies leaked. | 0:05:16 | 0:05:18
Next up, Andrew Smith, a jet engine designer | 0:05:18 | 0:05:20
from Northern Ireland. | 0:05:20 | 0:05:22
He was flying in dessert week with his ice cream mousse cakes | 0:05:22 | 0:05:25
on a Ferris wheel. | 0:05:25 | 0:05:27
But Mary and Paul were not so impressed with | 0:05:27 | 0:05:29
his plain cake in botanical week. | 0:05:29 | 0:05:32
And last, but by no means least, Jane Beedle, the first to win | 0:05:32 | 0:05:35
Star Baker and she has been pretty consistent ever since. | 0:05:35 | 0:05:39
But has she got enough to wow the judges in the final? | 0:05:39 | 0:05:42
I think this is pretty tricky for them. | 0:05:42 | 0:05:44
Made the best baker win. | 0:05:44 | 0:05:50
And head online to let us know who you think should win. | 0:05:50 | 0:05:53
