millimetres of rain between the 1st of December and the 19th of

February. The record comes after relentless storms and rainfall over

the past two months, which saw severe flooding across many parts of

England. When you go to the shops, you probably don't think about the

type of money you are using to buy things. But for people in Scotland

that may have to change. In September, people will have to vote

on whether Scotland should be a separate country to the rest of the

UK. There is a big argument over what kind of money people may have

to use if the country becomes independent.

Whether you live in Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland or England, you

will be using the same money. At the moment, everybody uses the pound. In

other countries, they use different money, like the euro or the dollar.

On the 18th of September, voters in Scotland will be asked if Scotland

should be independent. Those four independents say even if Scotland

becomes separate from the rest of the UK, people here will be able to

use the pound. But the man in charge of money for the UK Government,

George Osborne, says it may not work. That would mean Scottish

people would need to use different money. I have come to a school in

Scotland to see what the kids thing. We should keep the pound. We may

have to keep having two different currencies and it would be annoying.

We should keep the pound because we have already learned our currency.

We could make our own currency. We can just get on with their lives. If

we go shopping in England, it might be annoying for us because we won't

have the right currency. When the time comes to decide on an

independent Scotland, whether or not it will keep the pound is something

voters will be thinking about. The clock is ticking. With only six

hours to go until the final we have all been waiting for. Team GB

face-off against Canada in the nation's new favourite sport,

curling. It starts at 1:30pm. Skipper David Murdoch will be hoping

to keep his cool and go for gold. Also in action, Elise Christie in

the speed skating. Today we'll also see Britain equalled their best ever

medal record haul. With four medals it will be the best since 1924. It

was a mixed night for Tottenham and Swansea in the Europa League. Spurs

lost to Dnipro. The result means Tottenham have it all to do in the

return leg. Swansea City putting a cracking performance during --

drawing against Napoli. The swans came close on several occasions.

Finally, pet owners in Sochi have been getting into the Winter Olympic

spirit by dressing their furry friends in the same outfits worn by

the Russian Olympic team and Sochi volunteers. They have all been
