Hi, I have Friday's biggest stories. Coming up: Find out if it was gold

for Team GB's curlers. And your dog knows a lot more about

you than you think! This is Newsround.

First to the Winter Olympics in Sochi, where in the last hour the

men's curling final has come to a close. And I can tell you that after

trying their best they were beaten 9-3 by Canada and walked away with

the silver medal. The game lasted just over two hours but in the end

the Canadians were just too strong. Close. That is what this game is all

about. Catch the Canadian stone. Enough is enough. The Canadians have

delivered. And that curling medal was the first

to be won by Team GB's men in the entire competition. All of the other

medals, including a gold by Lizzy Yarnold, have been won by the

nation's female Olympians. Despite the success, the minister in charge

of sport, Helen Grant, has said that girls should be encouraged to take

up "feminine" sports like ballet or rounders to keep them interested in

sport. She thinks that some girls are put off activities like football

because they think they're not very "girly". But is it fair to say some

girls would find "feminine" sports more appealing? Leah's been finding

out more. Whether it's dominating the slopes

at Sochi, darting across a dirt track on the BMX or bossing it in

the boxing ring, women have always been at the top of their game in all

types of sport. Despite that, there are currently 1.8 million fewer

women than men that take part in regular sport. And it's cheerleading

classes like this one the sports minister Helen Grant says more girls

should be encouraged to do if football, BMX or boxing aren't for

them. Girls should do boys sport because they want to and boys can do

girls fought as well. It is up to you what you want to do. I love lots

of sport and I think it would be nice for boys and girls to be equal.

It's sports like boxing that could be seen as unfeminine which means

it's not very girly. But this lot love nothing more than getting in

the ring with their mates. You are taking part and having fun, that is

all that matters. If you try to get people into sports, they might find

out they liked it. You've been telling us on the website that you

think girls can play any type of sport they like, whether it's

snowboarding or football. Most of you think it doesn't make you less

feminine because the most important thing is you just enjoy what you're

doing. Your comments have been coming in

roller-skating and ballet. Next to a new development in

Ukraine, where the man in charge, Viktor Yanukovych, has agreed to

hold a vote to decide who runs the country before the end of the year.

Opposition leaders spent hours trying to come up with an agreement

and it's hoped the deal will go some way to ending the crisis in the

country. Thousands of people have been protesting over how the country

is making decisions about its future and 77 people have died in clashes

since Tuesday. The opposition has not spoken about the deal and it's

unclear whether protesters will back it.

Now, many of you have told us in the past how you think your pets can

understand you. A group of scientists say when it comes to dogs

this could be true after carrying out an experiment on our canine

chums. A team in Hungary trained these guys to sit very still while

they used special scanners to look at their brains. They found that

dogs' brains react similar to how human brains do, when they hear

certain sounds. The scientists discovered that the same part of a

dog's brain lights up as a human's, when they hear sounds. They both

process human voices using the same part of the brain. And this happens

when they hear emotional sounds too, like crying and laughter. The

researchers say this suggests our dogs do understand how we are

feeling! So just be careful what you say in front of your furry friends
