Today, it's how can we fly without damaging the environment?

Many scientists say if we want to avoid dangerous climate change we

need to cut down the carbon emissions we release into the air by

a huge amount. There is no single solution, but there is one type of

transport that releases lots and lots of carbon emissions, air

travel. Scientists have to find an alternative way to power planes.

There aren't many solutions yet, but this plane, made by a steeple in

Eastern Europe, is one of the most eco-friendly in the world. This

plane uses no fuel to fly. In fact it has batteries, which you charge,

just like a mobile phone, it uses an electric motor to produce thrust to

take off and stay in the air. It doesn't release harmful gases into

the atmosphere. It's really green. We see a lot of electric cars today,

why not electric planes? Batteries are the heavy bit in the vehicle.

When it comes to aeroplanes you need to lift it up into the sky. The

battery for 100 passenger aeroplane would be way too big with current

technology. Scientists will have to build a plane that can go from

London to Edinburgh at similar speeds to today's planes, but with
