I'm Hayley with all the day's big news and more

First to the United States, where protestors are still taking to

the streets because they're worried that police don't treat black

The streets of Ferguson in the US state of Missouri have resembled

a warzone, and daily life has been disrupted.

It's after an 18-year-old black man was shot and killed

A BBC reporter has been in Ferguson overnight

It has been a much calmer night in Ferguson in Missouri in the United

States. There have been protests but they have been much calmer, much

more peaceful, then we have seen in previous days. I went down to where

the protests have been earlier and what I saw was people lighting

candles and then prayers, a huge difference to what we have seen in

recent days where police and protesters were clashing. One of the

reasons police their they believe things have calmed down and reached

a turning point is they have been talking to community leaders,

churches, to try to encourage people to come out during daylight hours

instead of a night which is when they believe the violent protesters

who want to cause trouble are coming out. Since the protests began

schools have been closed. They never came back from their summer

holidays. It is hoped that schools will be able to reopen on Monday. It

is understood that teachers will be talking to their classes to discuss

the events that have been happening here in the last few days. The

investigation into how Michael Brown died, he was the 18-year-old unarmed

black teenager who was shot dead by a police officer, there are two

investigation is ongoing, one of them was ordered by the President

who has promised that the government will look at this in an independent

manner. Now, if you've got older brothers

since big changes were made to the exam system, with more counting

on the final exams rather than tests completed

throughout the year. Now to the second part

of our special interview with the new Doctor, where the Newsround

to look at the TARDIS. Well, after they calmed

down they got on with asking him How do you think you will

develop the Doctor's character? Often when he regenerates

he loses himself. He sort of stumbles around

in the ruins of his personality So you are going to see him

struggle to find out if he is Were you a big Dr Who fan and how

did you feel when you got the role? I have been watching it

for 50 years. When they gave me the role I was

absolutely thrilled and could not stop laughing because it was the

most wonderful present in the world. If you could go anywhere in time,

where would you go? I would like to see what Rome

was like with its pomp. When it was full of gladiators

and people from all over the Have you had any

embarrassing moments on set? My companion Jenna sometimes has

a bit of embarrassment with this because

she loves this particular panel so much and she was playing with it one

day and did this, she broke it. If she ever leaves the TARDIS,

we are going to give her this. If you had to choose between

the sonic screwdriver and the We can always make another sonic

screwdriver, but the sonic screwdriver can't take

us through time and space. The TARDIS has always been with

the Doctor. The TARDIS is a part of the Doctor

and he loves it dearly. You'll be able to see the final
