Hi, I'm Martin, this is Newsround,

0:00:030:00:05

and here's what's coming up on the show.

0:00:050:00:08

Paralympic legend Ellie Simmonds answers your questions.

0:00:080:00:12

And the penguin who got lost in Peru?

0:00:120:00:22

First up, you've told us that bullying on social media

0:00:260:00:28

is a problem that many of you face.

0:00:280:00:31

Now Instagram is releasing a new feature getting rid of any

0:00:310:00:34

comments you may find upsetting.

0:00:340:00:36

But will it work?

0:00:360:00:38

Here's Naz.

0:00:380:00:40

Social media is used by millions worldwide.

0:00:400:00:43

But bullying is a big problem.

0:00:430:00:46

Social media companies have been accused of not doing enough.

0:00:460:00:50

And kids being bullied know that certain features made to help

0:00:500:00:54

just don't work.

0:00:540:00:58

Now Instagram has rolled out a new feature where you can list

0:00:580:01:02

all the words and emojis that upset you.

0:01:020:01:06

And this is one example of how it works.

0:01:060:01:12

I really don't like the word horrible, and the angry emoji

0:01:120:01:14

really does make me angry, so I can put those words and that

0:01:140:01:18

emoji on a list of words that I don't like, so if anybody comments

0:01:180:01:23

on my pics with "horrible" or the angry emoji, they will be

0:01:230:01:26

removed automatically and I won't see them.

0:01:260:01:30

Instagram says they did this to make sure

0:01:300:01:32

"everyone feels safe to be themselves

0:01:320:01:34

without criticism or harassment".

0:01:340:01:37

But what do these year nines think?

0:01:370:01:39

Will it work?

0:01:390:01:41

Some people can find their way around the censoring,

0:01:410:01:44

and they will use other words.

0:01:440:01:46

There's ways around it, they will use physical bullying

0:01:460:01:48

and then there's phone calls and other social medias.

0:01:480:01:51

Getting the words right and what makes you feel safe

0:01:510:01:54

will take a lot of time.

0:01:540:01:57

It will probably work for the first week and then get forgotten.

0:01:570:02:00

It will give people a sense of security, thinking

0:02:000:02:02

that they can't have people saying rude comments about them.

0:02:020:02:05

I think that the new feature wouldn't work because

0:02:050:02:07

they'd find a way around it and use different emojis.

0:02:070:02:09

This is just one idea, but the reality -

0:02:090:02:13

it won't solve bullying overnight.

0:02:130:02:19

If you're worried about any kind of bullying, then head over

0:02:190:02:22

to the Newsround website, where you can find loads of advice.

0:02:220:02:25

Next - she's a five-time Paralympic gold medallist who hates

0:02:250:02:28

getting her hair wet!

0:02:280:02:29

Who are we talking about?

0:02:290:02:34

Swimmer Ellie Simmonds, of course!

0:02:340:02:36

Fresh from Rio, she's been answering you questions.

0:02:360:02:37

Here's Naz.

0:02:370:02:38

She's done it again!

0:02:380:02:39

And she's done it in a world record.

0:02:390:02:41

She is the golden girl of the pool, for sure.

0:02:410:02:44

Hello, Ellie, thank you so much for joining us here at Newsround.

0:02:440:02:47

Firstly, congratulations.

0:02:470:02:49

Thank you very much.

0:02:490:02:51

What is it like being back?

0:02:510:02:52

It's lovely to be back home.

0:02:520:02:54

I really had a great Games, and to celebrate it with everyone,

0:02:540:02:57

the great Paralympics that Paralympic GB had.

0:02:570:03:00

Our viewers love you and they've been sending us

0:03:000:03:03

loads of questions in.

0:03:030:03:04

Phoebe, who's ten and from Newbury, asks...

0:03:040:03:07

Oh, that's quite a tricky question because sometimes, for me,

0:03:110:03:14

being a distance swimmer, at the end of a race,

0:03:140:03:17

you're quite tired.

0:03:170:03:19

But all I think about is going as fast as I can to touch the pad

0:03:190:03:23

at the end of the pool and to hopefully touch first.

0:03:230:03:28

Finn, who's ten, says "Wow, you are really good at what you do".

0:03:280:03:32

Thank you.

0:03:330:03:35

My parents took me to learn to swim at the age of five.

0:03:350:03:39

Then I decided, watching the Athens 2004 Paralympics,

0:03:390:03:42

I wanted to set my dream of going to the Paralympics

0:03:420:03:45

and getting a gold medal.

0:03:450:03:48

So I went to a disability competition

0:03:480:03:50

and it all went from there.

0:03:500:03:52

Josh, who's 11 and from Suffolk, wants to know...

0:03:520:03:54

It's really tough being a Paralympian.

0:03:580:04:01

I've got to give a lot of dedication and sacrifice

0:04:010:04:03

and give it everything I've got.

0:04:030:04:04

I train nine times a week, plus gym sessions,

0:04:040:04:07

so it's a lot of hours in the pool.

0:04:070:04:10

What did you miss most about home?

0:04:100:04:13

I really missed my cat, Dipstick.

0:04:130:04:15

I'm looking forward to giving her a hug.

0:04:150:04:17

But I'm really looking forward to a nice Sunday roast

0:04:170:04:20

and my dad's cooking.

0:04:200:04:22

She's done it again!

0:04:220:04:23

It is gold for Eleanor Simmonds.

0:04:230:04:28

Next, this penguin has been causing a flap in Peru.

0:04:280:04:34

It took a waddle through the town of Chimbote and found

0:04:340:04:37

its way into a house.

0:04:370:04:39

The family heard crashing in their kitchen, and thought

0:04:390:04:42

they were being robbed!

0:04:420:04:43

They went to tackle the thief, but found the penguin instead!

0:04:430:04:47

Maybe he was just peckish?

0:04:470:04:49

That's all from me.

0:04:490:04:50

Newsround's back tomorrow with Naz.

0:04:500:04:53

Bye.
