Good afternoon. Your live with me, Jenny, at Newsround HQ

And I'm coming to you live from Wimbledon, on day one, with all the

tennis action. Let's start with the story that

caused international outrage. Three journalists put in prison for seven

years in Egypt after being accused of spreading false news. David

Cameron has called the decision "appalling." He's not the only one

who has criticised the way Egypt has gone about things. These three

journalists are facing a long time in prison. The Egyptian authorities

accused them of spreading false news and supporting the Muslim

Brotherhood, the group that was in charged in Egypt until 2013. The men

work for Al Jazeera, based in Qatar, which broadcasts around the world.

It is banned from operating in Egypt because Egyptian authorities claim

it has broadcast reports that support the Muslim Brotherhood. The

three men have always denied the accusations. We have tried to give a

fair and balanced picture of what is going on in Egypt. It is infuriating

to think that Egypt could go to this extreme to try and stop reporting,

fair reporting in the country. The Prime Minister of Australia appealed

for the men to be released. As an Australian journalist he would not

have supported the Muslim Brotherhood, he would simply have

reported on the Muslim Brotherhood and a free and vigorous media are

good for democracy, good for security, good for stability.

Egyptian officials say the Muslim Brotherhood is a dangerous

organisation and that the journalists broke the law. The

journalists say they will fight the decision to lock them up. For now,

they are stuck in this high-security prison. Moving on. In the last hour

the lawyer for a woman in Sudan, who had been put in prison for refusing

to change religions say she has been set free. Meriam Ibrahim made

headlines last month when she was put in prison while pregnant. She

was put in jail for refusing to her dad's religion, Islam. The country

has reversed its decision after criticism from around the world.

Now, it is the very first day of Wimbledon. One of four major tennis

tournaments each year and Andy Murray has already been in action.

Ricky is there with all the latest. Thank you very much. Yes, it has

been another busy day. It has been incredibly exciting. I have been

enjoying watching all the tennis action on day one. Earlier today you

would have seen on Murray Mound loads of people watching the action.

They were here to see Andy Murray's first match. He was playing Darren

Gough and Murray won the match -- Goffin. Murray won the match. He's

on his way to regaining that title. Can he go all the way? I have spoken

to some kids to find out what they think of Murray. I think he has good

chances. I am not sure if he'll win though. I think he'll win it. Of

course he will! I don't think he will. Nadal is playing so well that

he's, I think he's going to get to the semis. Is he a big deal in the

States? Yes. A lot of people know him and a lot of people want him to

win as well. He's one of the best players out there. What is so good

about him? Everything. The way he hits it. Everything he does is good.

Come on, Andy! Andy Murray is a big pull for fans.

John Watson is with me now. Andy Murray - was it a confident win

today? Definitely. To come through in straight sets - that is good. He

can conserve energy. The first two sets he took easily. The third was

more difficult. He proved too strong in the end. What about the draw - a

good one? He will avoid some of the big names until later in the

competition. Avoiding any major upsets it will be a Djokovic

semi-final and Nadal in the final. We have lost a couple of BRITS

today. Yes -- Brits today. Yes we have.

We lost James Ward - disappointment for him. There are seven British

players playing in total today. Fingers crossed we could have more

joining Andy in the second round. Make sure you watch Wimbledon
