Hey, two good things about today - you're with Newsround, and we're | :00:10. | :00:20.
:00:20. | :00:21. | ||
live on CBBC. Here's what's coming Liverpool's Luis Suarez has been | :00:21. | :00:27.
banned for biting another player. As JLS call it a day, we'll hear | :00:27. | :00:30.
from you and your memories of the band. | :00:30. | :00:33.
First, there's only one big story we could kick off the afternoon | :00:33. | :00:36.
with - after five years together the shock news that JLS are | :00:36. | :00:39.
splitting up. And judging from your comments on our website, lots of | :00:39. | :00:42.
you are devastated. But wipe away those tears long enough to watch | :00:42. | :00:52.
:00:52. | :00:54. | ||
this report from Ricky. She makes me want to - oh, oh, oh # | :00:54. | :00:58.
JLS missed out on X Factor victory in 2008, but they went on to win | :00:58. | :01:01.
thousands of fans. Five number one singles, four dolls and two Brit | :01:01. | :01:05.
Awards later, they're calling it a day. JLS put a statement on their | :01:05. | :01:15.
:01:15. | :01:16. | ||
website this morning. They say to every JLS'ter we've decided to | :01:16. | :01:19.
bring our time together to an end. We've had hundreds of comments from | :01:19. | :01:21.
you guys too. Chloe says she's absolutely devastated. Natasha says, | :01:21. | :01:24.
"OMG, why are you breaking up?" Amelia says, "No offence, but they | :01:24. | :01:27.
were starting to get a bit annoying." Celebs have been talking | :01:27. | :01:31.
about it today too. Louis from 1D says he's sad to hear about the | :01:31. | :01:35.
news. And former X Factor star Amelia Lily gave us her reaction. | :01:35. | :01:41.
I'm really gutted, like, really gutted because I think they're four | :01:41. | :01:45.
amazing guys who have had five amazing years. How did you feel? | :01:45. | :01:50.
Shocked. Are you still upset now? Yeah. I like the songs and just the | :01:50. | :01:55.
way they sung. I think they'd been planning to break up and they have | :01:55. | :02:02.
not been doing quite well. The kids here have been taking the news well | :02:02. | :02:07.
shame not the teacher. I managed to cope when Take That broke up. I | :02:07. | :02:12.
might do it again. You're always going to have money invested in you | :02:12. | :02:16.
over the next few years. They have moved record labels, had less money | :02:16. | :02:21.
invested in them. I think maybe they realise their time has come. | :02:21. | :02:25.
Each of the boys are doing their own thing. Marvin is a radio DJ and | :02:25. | :02:27.
expecting his first child with Rochelle from the Saturdays. | :02:27. | :02:31.
Oritse has his own music management company. Aston is a judge on Sky's | :02:31. | :02:36.
Got to Dance. JB has bought a farm in Scotland! They're also releasing | :02:36. | :02:39.
one more single and a greatest hits album and having a goodbye tour, | :02:39. | :02:43.
and they've promised their fans they'll end on a high! | :02:43. | :02:53.
:02:53. | :02:56. | ||
As he said, loads of you have been Next, the Liverpool striker Luis | :02:56. | :02:59.
Suarez has been given a ten-match ban for biting another player. It | :02:59. | :03:03.
means he'll miss the rest of this season and the first six games of | :03:03. | :03:07.
next season. It happened during Liverpool's match against Chelsea | :03:07. | :03:10.
on Sunday when Suarez bit the arm of the Chelsea defender Branislav | :03:10. | :03:14.
Ivanovic. Liverpool Football Club say they're "shocked and | :03:14. | :03:20.
disappointed" by the decision. Next to a massive scam which put | :03:20. | :03:23.
thousands of lives at risk. A businessman has been found guilty | :03:23. | :03:26.
of selling fake bomb detectors to some of the most violent countries | :03:26. | :03:29.
in the world, including Iraq. The man made millions of pounds from | :03:29. | :03:36.
the fraud. Joe has the story. They were said to be able to detect | :03:36. | :03:42.
bombs from the air, under water and even deep underground. Sounds a bit | :03:42. | :03:46.
too good to be true? Well, that's because it was. The so-called bomb | :03:46. | :03:48.
detectors were actually based on novelty golf ball finders and | :03:48. | :03:56.
didn't work at all. This was the advert 56-year-old | :03:56. | :03:59.
James McCormick from Somerset used to help sell thousands of the fake | :03:59. | :04:04.
devices. The main customers were countries where bombs being set off | :04:04. | :04:13.
are a real danger every day. made most of his money from Iraq. A | :04:13. | :04:17.
bomb victim has described McCormick as a man with no conscience who has | :04:17. | :04:21.
destroyed people's lives. For ten years he's sold this device in | :04:21. | :04:25.
countries that are wracked with terrorism and explosions. He's paid | :04:25. | :04:30.
no heed to the people who stood on checkpoints, at security posts | :04:30. | :04:37.
believing this device worked. McCormick bought the devices for | :04:37. | :04:40.
about 13 each but sold them for up to 27,000. He's still defending | :04:40. | :04:43.
his product but police have said the only genuine part of it was the | :04:44. | :04:47.
case it was sold in. Now that he's been found guilty, it's up to a | :04:47. | :04:50.
judge to decide what punishment he gets for deceiving people, police | :04:50. | :04:55. |
