Good morning, it's Tuesday, Ayshah here with

the stories you need today.

The robot fair kicking off in China.

And stay tuned for more of these incredibly cute red pandas!

First to the girl who is being turned into a comic hero.

Fed up of not seeing cartoon characters with disabilities,

Emily decided to take action.

Along with ther dad, Dan, they've invented a comic strip

called The Department of Ability and Ricky went to meet them.

Emily is nine years old.

She has a condition called spina bifida which makes it

difficult to move around.

Like loads of young kids, she loves reading, playing guitar,

football, and basketball, and when she's not busy doing all

that, she is also a superhero.

Dad Dan has turned his daughter into a comic book star and it's

in this room where the characters come to life.

There's five characters, and the name of the comic is DOA,

short for Department of Ability.

And we've got our own theme tune.

They're all disabled apart from the creator of them, the person

who joined them all together.

So what kind of superpowers does your character have?

A flying wheelchair, lasers on her wheelchair.

Emily's dad is obsessed with comics.

Some of the characters he's created are based on other

children with disabilities.

Together they make up Team Strong Bones.

The Department of Ability came to life when Emily was born, and at

the time we just started watching television, reading comics, she was

looking for something she could relate to, ie disabled characters.

And when we couldn't find any, I set about designing my own group of

superheroes with disabilities that she could read and actually enjoy.

Some shows I don't really see people in wheelchairs.

And how does that make you feel?

Kind of upset.

The aim of the comic is to remind young people

that anyone can be a superhero.

The charity Strong Bones is publishing the very first issue of

the comic at the start of next year.

Next, scientists in the US say they've

created a genetically modified mosquito, unable to carry malaria.

Malaria is one of the most deadly diseases on Earth

and is passed onto humans through bites from mosquitos like these.

It's a huge problem in countries across Asia,

Africa and South America.

Scientists have added a resistance gene into mosquito's DNA so that

when the insect produces young the new mosquitoes are malaria free.

They hope this plan will eventually wipe out the disease.

So far the results in the lab look good but the malaria-free mosquitoes

haven't been tested in the wild yet.

To football, and in the Champions League Arsenal

need a win this evening to stand any chance of staying in the competion.

They'll have to beat Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.

And Chelsea are also in action tonight, a victory at Maccabi Tel

Aviv would send them through.

And in the Premier League, Sunderland got

their first away win of the season, beating Crystal Palace 1-0.

Jermain Defoe's late goal moved the team up a place to 3rd

from the bottom.

It's Sam Allardyce's second win in four games

since taking over last month.

A dress worn by Judy Garland in the film of The Wizard of Oz has

sold for $1.56 million, or ?1 million, at an auction in New York.

The blue and white gingham dress, one of 10 thought to have been made

for the actress in her role as Dorothy in the movie, was apparently

a bit sweaty with stains around the neck but that didn't put off the

mysterious buyer whose name hasn't been revealed.

And check out this couple of cuties!

These red pandas have just made their public debut at a zoo

in the US.

The little creatures were born in July in New York,

but haven't been given names yet.

Red pandas look similar to raccoons and have a reddish-brown coat

and a long furry tail, but unlike giant pandas they're not

members of the bear family.

Everyone was excited to see little guys because they're considered to

be very vulnerable in the wild.

The World Robot Conference has just kicked off in Beijing in China.

The three-day event includes an exhibition and

a robot contest for young people.

The conference has drawn hundreds of experts and robot companies,

it's hoped that it will encourage China to make more robots.
