things up in order to trick you into going onto their website	:02:44.	:02:48.
and just clicking and sharing, in order to make	:02:49.	:02:51.
So, people make thousands of pounds through people like you and me	:02:52.	:02:58.
Give us an example of when fake news gets out of hand.	:02:59.	:03:03.
One of our studies showed that during the US presidential	:03:04.	:03:08.
election recently, more people were sharing fake news stories	:03:09.	:03:12.
This was affecting the way people were voting.	:03:13.	:03:16.
That has a huge impact on the way we make our decisions.	:03:17.	:03:19.
So, how do we know what is real or not?	:03:20.	:03:24.
What you can do is double-check the domain name.	:03:25.	:03:29.
What people sometimes do is create a domain name	:03:30.	:03:33.
which looks very similar to the name of a real news site.	:03:34.	:03:36.
If this story seems too good to be true, what you can then do is check	:03:37.	:03:40.
If they are also covering the story, it is probably true.	:03:41.	:03:46.
If you cannot find this story anywhere else,	:03:47.	:03:48.
So, remember, the next time you see a yellow panda,	:03:49.	:03:53.
