Hi, I'm Leah with Tuesday afternoon's Newsround.

0:00:030:00:05

On the way...

0:00:050:00:09

The new arm helping this girl make music.

0:00:090:00:13

The 101-year old athlete winning big.

0:00:130:00:17

And could this flying car be the new way to get around?

0:00:170:00:22

But first, do your parents spend too much time on one of these?

0:00:290:00:32

Their phones?

0:00:320:00:34

A big survey suggests that some children are worried

0:00:340:00:41

about the amount of time their mums and dads spend

0:00:410:00:43

checking their phones.

0:00:430:00:44

More than a third of 11-18 year olds said they asked their parents

0:00:440:00:47

to limit their time on their phones.

0:00:470:00:49

You've been letting us know what you think.

0:00:490:00:52

It's bad because I think families especially at dinner tables

0:00:520:00:59

and when they're all together, they should just socialise each

0:00:590:01:01

other, not their phone.

0:01:010:01:02

Ryan from East Sussex told us that he spends a lot of time

0:01:020:01:06

on YouTube on his phone but his parents don't go on it much.

0:01:060:01:09

Sometimes it's like your texting each other in the same room

0:01:090:01:12

and that's a problem because you're not talking face-to-face.

0:01:120:01:16

Ethan thinks his dad plays on his phone too much

0:01:160:01:19

and that he sits and plays Mobile Strike all day.

0:01:190:01:24

We're having a family dinner and my mum will just pull the phone

0:01:240:01:27

out and take selfies all the time and play games on her phone.

0:01:270:01:30

It's kind of irritating.

0:01:300:01:32

Maria and Olaf from Norway don't think this is a problem

0:01:320:01:35

with their parents.

0:01:350:01:36

Their family talk face-to-face during meals and when they

0:01:360:01:38

chill in the evenings.

0:01:380:01:43

My parents don't always use their phones that much.

0:01:430:01:45

My dad just uses his for business.

0:01:450:01:47

But Megan from East Sussex says her family are always on their phones.

0:01:470:01:52

She doesn't like it because it makes her feel she has to go

0:01:520:01:55

on a gadget to entertain herself.

0:01:550:01:57

I think parents should be using around 2-3 hours a day.

0:01:570:02:00

But when they're with their kids I think they should be using hardly

0:02:000:02:04

any technology unless they're trying to show them something or have fun.

0:02:040:02:10

Newcastle fans are celebrating after their side sealed promotion

0:02:100:02:13

back to the Premier League.

0:02:130:02:19

This penalty from Matt Ritchie helped Newcastle beat Preston 4-1

0:02:190:02:23

at St James' Park to join Brighton in sealing automatic promotion

0:02:230:02:25

from the Championship.

0:02:250:02:30

Sticking with football because England's women

0:02:300:02:34

have been drawn in the same group as Wales for the 2019

0:02:340:02:37

Women's World Cup.

0:02:370:02:37

Northern Ireland are in a group featuring Norway

0:02:370:02:40

and the Netherlands, while Scotland will face Euro 2017

0:02:400:02:42

qualifiers Switzerland.

0:02:420:02:46

Now to a ten-year-old girl from America who has just received

0:02:460:02:49

an important gift that has changed her life.

0:02:490:02:54

Meet Isabelle and check out her brand new arm prosthetic arm.

0:02:540:02:58

It was 3-D printed just for her so she could play the violin

0:02:580:03:01

after signing up to a music class at school.

0:03:010:03:05

Isabelle was born with an incomplete left arm which makes playing

0:03:050:03:08

the violin difficult.

0:03:080:03:09

But that did not stop her.

0:03:090:03:12

My mouth freezes when you say, I can't do it.

0:03:120:03:15

It's like, I can't do it, yeah.

0:03:150:03:23

Her music teacher fashioned a makeshift prosthetic arm

0:03:230:03:25

to hold her bow and then called his university to help out.

0:03:250:03:28

A team of five students designed a pretty blingy arm

0:03:280:03:30

for her and now Isabelle's new arm allows her to hold and

0:03:300:03:33

move the bow properly.

0:03:330:03:34

I have to say thank you to them, because without them I couldn't

0:03:340:03:37

really be able to play.

0:03:370:03:41

They also made a grip so she can ride a bike with both arms.

0:03:410:03:44

Since the university students designed her arm,

0:03:440:03:46

they've been getting even more requests.

0:03:460:03:49

So, thanks to Isabelle, other people can now benefit

0:03:490:03:51

from a new 3-D printed arm.

0:03:510:03:56

Next up, the Olympics has nothing on this next sporting event.

0:03:560:03:59

The World Masters Games in New Zealand features some

0:03:590:04:02

of the oldest sports men and women in the world.

0:04:020:04:06

Man Kaur here from India is 101-years-old and she won gold

0:04:060:04:11

in the 100 metres sprint - her time 1 minute 14 seconds!

0:04:110:04:14

She was guaranteed a medal because she was the only runner

0:04:140:04:17

in the over 100 category.

0:04:170:04:21

Now how do you fancy getting a lift home from school on one of these?

0:04:210:04:25

This is the view from a new "personal flying

0:04:250:04:27

machine", which can reach speeds up to 25 miles an hour.

0:04:270:04:32

It's powered by 8 rotors blades, and like a helicopter it can take

0:04:320:04:35

off and land vertically.

0:04:350:04:42

Finally it seems as though winter is back with many part

0:04:420:04:45

of the UK feeling cooler and some snow on higher ground.

0:04:450:04:47

If you've been hit by wintry weather why not send

0:04:470:04:50

us your pics of the spring snow.

0:04:500:04:53

That's all from me, Newsround's back in the morning from 0740.

0:04:530:04:58

Goodbye

0:04:580:04:58

Goodbye for

0:04:580:04:58

Goodbye for now.
