Morning, guys, Martin here with how one part of

America is coping with its biggest earthquake in 25 years on the way.

Plus, could these hoverbikes be the future of high-tech travel?

First, though, one of Britain's best sportsmen

claims his own teammate crashed into him on purpose to get ahead in this

year's Formula One championships.

Lewis Hamilton says that in a meeting after yesterday's Belgian

Grand Prix, fellow Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg admitted deliberately

the crash meant Hamilton had to pull out, while Rosberg finished second.

If you have ever dreamed of scooting past the crowds on your

way to school by gliding through the air, then just take a look at what

experts are calling the hoverbike.

Is it a bird?

No, it's actually an aerial drone.

aviation to the next level.

It's remote-controlled, and takes off, lands

and flies just like a helicopter.

But this is just a test model for something bigger and better.

Ladies and gentlemen, the quadcopter hoverbike -

a helicopter/bike/plane that can be piloted

by a person or flown remotely.

It's the idea of this guy, Chris Malloy.

He's an engineer and pilot who says he wants to make

a safer kind of helicopter.

When I got my helicopter licence, I realised that the helicopter

as a design has a lot of improvements to be made.

My goal was to see where we could strip away the complexity

and increase safety.

The engineers hope to launch the smaller, unmanned version first,

before trying to get the go-ahead for the full-sized hoverbike.

They say it could help reach places normal choppers can't.

The helicopter is inherently complex.

The hoverbike is very simple.

So it is safer.

So, what's next?

Well, they are putting the finishing touches to the final

prototype, and will be looking to do test flights in a few months' time.

OK, so arriving at a school on one of these is probably

a little way off, but its inventors hope that one day, the quadcopter

will be a thriving success.

In other news, rescue crews in America are tackling the

aftermath of the biggest earthquake to hit northern California

in 25 years this morning.

90 people have been injured in the US state and buildings,

roads and bridges were all damaged when the major quake hit.

It also caused fires and burst water mains and gas pipes.

A state of emergency has been declared there.

Next, fans of one of Hollywood's biggest

film directors have been getting a glimpse of the latest blockbuster

being made right here in Britain.

Tim Burton, who made Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and Alice In

Wonderland, has started work on his new movie by transforming Gloucester

docks into a magical wonderland.

Historical costumes...all living in a world

that was dreamt up a very long time ago.

But this fairytale is happening right now in Gloucester, in England.

This is the film set for Tim Burton's latest

Alice In Wonderland film, Alice Through The Looking Glass.

The film stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter.

The set draws quite a crowd, but have they seen any of the stars yet?

No.

Seen a few extras, we think.

Lots of pirates, as the kids say.

So the big stars may not have arrived yet,

but Disney and their big production has, and that's good news for

Gloucester, because it helps promote the city and its major locations.

I think it has some amazing historical properties.

The cathedral is one, and you have the history of

Harry Potter filming there.

But also around the docks, there are amazing unspoiled areas, and that is

what makes filming here so useful.

The film is not due to hit the big screen for another couple of years,

but if you are out and about in Gloucester this summer, have a look

around, because you never know which famous face you might bump into.

I'm sure I've seen that horse in another film before.

And finally, thousands of people have turned out

for the UK's biggest gaming festival in Coventry over the weekend.

The event previews some of the top games out there,

and also draws big crowds of people watching the best gamers

battle it out against each other.
